OT the LeBron- Stephen A Smith feud

I'm not sure what your point is with this, you're just going to name Nuggets players under Doug Moe and Westhead? Jalen Brunson is the best point guard in the NBA. Austin Reeves scores 20 per game, Norman Powell scores 23 per game. James Harden averaged 36 ppg in the modern era.

Sick Jordan, DeMar DeRozan Jordan comparison! Obviously a joke but I wouldn't be surprised if you thing SGA is better than Jordan.
See, you say you don’t watch and this proves it. Jalen Brunson is NOT the best PG in the NBA, Austin Reeves is INCREDIBLY skilled, turn on the TV once in a while. This is lazy. You don’t watch, that’s fine, but don’t make statements as if you know what’s going on then.

So refute it. If not, you’re the one being lazy.
You've offered nothing other than things are better/advanced now because things are always better if they're current. Better at what? They certainly are better three point shooters. They certainly aren't better post players. The players are the same size so we can put that one to rest.

That’s your go to lol. “You’ve offered nothing, I am smarter and have given evidence of such” You haven’t said anything other than Jordan would own this modern game, you know, just because. Would average 45 easy, for sure man. His era was your glory days obviously.

The average player today has better ball movement, shooting, more athletic, faster, more versatile. Not sure what else you want. You’ll strongly disagree based on nothing but nostalgia though, so no problemo.

How are they more athletic and faster?

You just talk out of your butt.

.-.
How are they not?

You’re talking out of your butt.

We can both do this insult game big guy.
You're so predictable, it's hilarious. You used to argue they're bigger now. I tell you they're not so you jump to they're more athletic and faster now.

Stuck in your ways, tsk tsk. You don’t even watch the game, right? How can you have an opinion on it?

Anywho, let’s be bigger men and move on. You can respond and have the last word, I know you need that.

Ok were a bit OT here, as this has turned into the Cardiac Andre vs Super John feud instead.

He's transparent as all hell, it's funny to me. I said I stopped watching as much NBA this season because a three point shooting contest makes for an awful product, he tells me I don't watch the sport so I don't know what's going on. Yet he's commented for years and made declarative statements for years about a player and an entire generation of basketball he wasn't around for and didn't watch.

It's the same routine with him every time and his last post is verbatim how he always ends these discussions.

Ya he’s convinced himself that the 90s era is dinosaur basketball.

You say the same stuff too. You’re being immature now, either move on or don’t.

.-.

You guys have convinced yourselves that the modern game is incomparable. You can’t have it both ways.

90s era guys past their prime were literally outplaying guys in the 2010s in those guys prime, one of them saved Lebrons legacy btw.

KG still dominant in 2008 winning the championship, Kobe winning titles in his 30s back to back in 2010 and 11, Duncan nearly 40 winning a championship in dominating fashion in 2014, Jason Kidd at 38 winning his first championship in 2011 outplaying Lebron in moments of the finals, Jason Kidd at 40 being the defacto clutch coach of a 55 win Knicks team in 2013. Oh yeah Ray Allen nearly 40 saving Lebrons legacy.

And we got there. Ray saved LeBron’s legacy. That’s an alarm for someone who is arguing disingenuously.

It's always the same with him. Throws out insults and then seems bothered when they're thrown back at him. He says over and over we disagree so no sense continuing this and then he keeps going. Says I need the last word and then keeps going.

Now he says we think the modern era is incomparable. That's a new one. That sure sounds like he's accusing us of arguing the point he continues to argue over and over whenever these threads pop up.

Stephen A. is as big of an attention 'ho as there is. Fighting LeBron is sure fire. Not interested.
Agree, I find Stephen A to be nothing more than a theatrical blow hard. His act does not entertain me at all. I move to ESPN 2 or another sports channel.... Not that I'm a big fan of Lebron either with his ego but have to respect his ability.

.-.
I'm not a fan of SAS but Lebron is definitely not helping himself by going on an all out war against the media, saying Giannis would dominate in the 70s is one thing saying he would score 250 pts in a game is just a dumb statement, being dismissive of the guys from the past is just tasteless. You would never see Kobe make these kind of statements. While you should be defending your era, going after past eras while making jokes about it doesn't make you any better.

Lebron simply went on a podcast that he was gonna be given a huge platform and not face any tough questions. With the playoffs coming up why bring that distraction to your team. This has just been on going non stop drama.

It was one thing to go after SAS but then to go after Brian Windhorst calling him weird and telling lies about him is just unnecessary. This is why LeBron gets the reputation that he gets.

Does he have haters for no reason absolutely. Lebron is a good guy but he's just such a polarizing person. If he just said something to SAS behind closed doors this wouldn't be a story at all.

Tell me where I lied.

45 a game? you have nostalgia glasses. We’ve disagreed on this before though, no need to rehash.
No, not really. He averaged 34-37 a game in the decade of his prime with a much smaller emphasis on the 3 pter and teams allowed to murder him if he set foot in the paint. Maybe you should watch a reel of Lebron flopping before you make a comment like this.

Defenders are longer and often more athletic.

I don’t hate Jordan, I like Jordan a lot and have him #2 overall for a reason. But you and others absolute disdain for LeBron is weird. Skip Bayless-esque, but at least Skip can throw him a complement from time to time.

Kobe did countless negative things that LeBron never did. LeBron was obviously hyperbolizing the 250 pt thing as well, just as all of you hyperbolize Jordan would average 45-50 in today’s game. You are being inconsistent.

Imagine if he could go left and if he was as athletic, fast, and skilled as the players today...

No, they're not. Michael Cooper, Joe Dumars, Gary Payton and then big men like Mutombo, Olajuwon, Ewing, David Robinson were just as good defenders as anyone in the league today, if not better.
