Only if you like donuts and peanut butter :)

Krispy Kreme has teamed up with Reese's to offer a Reese Peanut Butter Donut.

According to Krispy Kreme, “The Reese’s Peanut Butter Doughnut is filled with a Reese’s Peanut Butter Kreme, dipped in milk chocolate icing, topped with a Reese’s Peanut Butter Chip and chopped peanut blend, and finished with a drizzle of chocolate and peanut butter.”

It will make it's debut Friday August 4th at participating Krispy Kreme Locations..... for a limited time only.

Where does one even get Krispy Kreme? I don't think I've seen a store in Connecticut before.

Trust me.. I'll be eating plenty of these to make up for any CT residents unable to find a store

That's why everyone in Connecticut is svelte.
We miss out on a lot of chain stores here. We're always last to get them it seems. Last to get Walmarts, last to get Sonic, I think we just got a Chick-fil-a within the last year or two, and I'm sure there are other chains that I only know about from watching college sports commercials.

Stop fighting it. Embrace the horror. I'm sure we all will find as Woody Allen's character in Sleeper that cheeseburgers and milk shakes are good for you. Eat up. Go for a dozen. After all, after a certain number of calories a day the body just ignores the rest.

Came home from Italy in June at an even 200
Down to 186...aiming for 175...

I was only gonna pick up 6-8..... but when you think about it... its cheaper to get a dozen. :D

There was a big Krispy Kreme push a few years back in CT. When they first opened the long lines made news. But they all failed and closed soon after. Probably because their coffee is terrible. Mohegan Sun has the last remaining KK in state.

IIRC, there was a KK in CT a few years ago, I'm not sure if it lasted after a 'grand' opening. There may be one in the Mohegan Sun Casino.

There are two stores in/near Scranton, PA...both are a few minutes off Interstate 81 and popular with drive-by travelers from all states. Get a dozen or two to go...;)

Krispy Kreme marched into New England and found Dunkin' Donuts waiting for them. It might have been the most ill-conceived plan of attack since Pickett's Charge. They reached Connecticut and were then beaten back with vigor.

Dunkin Donuts really entered the market down here a few years ago with vigor. I guess they are doing ok. There is one free standing location... the others are attached to gas stations. I guess people go their for the coffee and for sandwiches. Stopped by one morning and picked up two sandwiches... they were decent. The donuts were ok......... but their selection and availability is frustrating. I walked into one a few weeks ago.... with a buy half a dozen, get half a dozen free coupon in tow... and they only had about 5 total donuts in the entire store. Head bang Bought two of them.... and they were just average at best. I guess thats what I get for wanting donuts on a Thursday evening Head bang

Same experience here in Bozeman, MT. Grand opening Kiosks in several large chains only to be gone in a few months.

KK may have mismanaged their marketing strategy, BUT (for us and many folks we know) KK donuts are preferable to DD's (which are just "OK"). Sadly we are familiar with both brands since there are many stores nearby.

BTW, KK's pre-made and packaged donuts, distributed by truck in a box to super-markets or other outlets, are not comparable to their freshly made ones purchased in a store/manufacturing facility, especially the WARM ones (they turn on the "WARM DONUTS" sign ;)).

...but DD has superior 'other' stuff, notably breakfast and other sandwiches/lunch items. KK doesn't offer them...just donuts.

Dunkin used to have good donuts when they were made in-house. Now they suck. The place really should be called Dunkin Coffee.

Well, you're close. They have 'expanded' their offerings so much that maybe they want to move to full blown fast food drink/'diner' like chain. A name change sounds radical. Nevertheless, they are one on the 'top' franchises, so something is working. IMO it isn't the donuts...:)

DD changing name?
