Or you can be intelligent, sell off most your port over the winter and be sitting on a pile of cash right now, like me and Warren.
I'm sure you're very proud of yourself.

Bragging about his dividends. LolzI'm sure you're very proud of yourself.
You’re the best. Is that what you’re waiting for?So the mistake I made with this post is that we might be building human labor shoe factories instead of data centers. Be careful here.

Agreed 100%. 10% is a nothingburger. You should be prepared to lose 50% of your stock value and not sweat it, and that's if you're in index funds. Should be even higher if you're investing in individual stocks--probably 75%.
The best thing to sin is consistent investment. That's it. You try and time it and pick, you are gonna get annhilsted.Opportunitiy to find good invedtments at a discount.
Not if you are retired.
LMAO, if you're not freaking out, you probably shouldn't be adulting in the first place. Talk about absolutely clueless.
Losing less than the DJIA is still losing. If you're retired your mix should be less heavy in equities to begin with.
Exactly. You realize that post was almost a month ago, right? Policy is driving the current drop, but it is also likely an overreaction.
If you managed to get out around March 1, congratulations. I've been there (sold everything on February 19, 2020). Good luck timing the re-entry. If I had done that last time around, I'd be retired by now. I didn't, and ended up in the same place that I would have been if I had done nothing. So now I will do (for the most part) nothing.
If you’re young it’s a great time to start and even better if it goes down more. Think long term, put money away on a regular basis and let it grow.So for someone who knows nothing about stocks, is this the worst time ever to get into it or can I buy something low? I dunno lol!

I don't have much to offer on timing the market (other than I shouldn't try to). What’s your strategy for getting back into the market? When?
Anyone in here ever hear about the pi network it’s a crypto currency.Everyone I tell about it says it’s a scam but I believe in it but want to hear what people have to say on here about it …. Pi network is the app and pi coin is the crypto currency please let me know
This is very good advice. ETF’s and Bonds to lower your risk.If you know nothing, don't buy stocks. Buy ETFs. Add in bond funds if you're approaching retirement. Or if you really just want to not think about it AT ALL, throw your money in a target date fund and call it a day.
I use Fidelity for their Bitcoin ETF - ticker symbol FBTC.Anyone use either M1 or Fidelity to create your own basket or pie?’
