FWIW. I heard on the radio that there are some reports that the wrong winner was put on the teleporter and Harvey just read what was fed to him.

About the mistake, he owned that he read the card wrong.

If she was going to lose, that's the best possible outcome. She will get far more media attention, invites to talk shows, etc. which never would have happened if they had gotten it right. It's a huge win for her. And I wouldn't be a bit surprised if it was planned by someone to generate buzz about an event that should have been retired in 1977.
