I would love to give you recommendations, but last time I tried I got abused because I offered up suggestions that didn't revolve around lite beers, wings and "bajitas".

There are probably 50 solid places to go around Stamford for a nice beer and decent food. However, if you're actually living downtown, as in easy walking distance to Bobby V's, well, there you go.

In that case, depending on which side of Summer St. you're on, you'll pass either Murphy's Townhouse (Franklin) or Bradford's Grill (Bedford) several blocks before you get to Bobby V's. So you might want to pop your head in one of those. Neither are as cliche "sports bar"-ish as BVs, which is a scene, as I've gotten older, I now loathe. YMMV.

Bobby V's actually plays the sound of the games, thats why i find it superior to the other places. But yes Bradfords, buffalo wild wings, never been to Murphys.
