Just wondering... How many people have gone to the SWA website to check in for a flight and continually hit the check in button for two minutes before the start of the 24 hour check in window to try to get the earliest possible boarding position? Yeah, I am bored today...and ONLY got A24. Jeez...what's a gal gotta do to get A16?

Why do you want to get on 15-25 minutes before departure, so you can leave in 5 minutes ?

To be first to wait for your luggage

Chapette, more and more people are paying that extra $12 to check in more than 24 hrs in advance. A24 is awfully good. I'll take that on any SW flight I take!

I usually end up in the B's and sit in the middle towards the back of the plane. it's no biggie for me, but I don't get antsy to depart as soon as the plan lands anyway, to wait for luggage as John said. But i guess you CAN pay for the ability to check in sooner...

I checked in for my return from Miami, got A17, and there was no 15 or 16, so I got the first one without paying extra. It was a company trip, but I couldn't justify paying more.

SWA saves the first few seats in the A group for "business select." I usually pay the extra $12.50 for early check in. A23 is about as good as I have had, even with the extra fee.

Doh! I made this reservation so long ago I forgot I opted for early bird check in! I am a nervous traveler, and I have to have a window, preferably in front of the wings. So the earlier I check in the more choices I have. Don't care about when my luggage comes off. Transfer in Denver so when my two FREE checked bags load is irrelevant, who knows when they get loaded on the Denver to Hartford flight. My biggest worry now is when to leave tomorrow morning. Staying on the East Bay side, but have to drive up to SFO on the 101. Californians seem to be late risers..,probably won't have much of a problem if I leave the hotel at 7:30 for a 10 a.m. flight?
