Haven't had a new song thread for a while. I'm aiming for bands with siblings as members but I guess you can do songs about siblings as well. There are some really famous ones out there but I'm gonna go more obscure at least to start with.

Kye Kye, 2 brothers and a sister plus her husband from Portland, OR (originally from Estonia). This is by far my favorite song of theirs. Starts slow but builds up by the middle.

This band originally featured twin sisters before one of them left the group. Now defunct, the guitarist that I think was the primary songwriter died after battling cancer. The remaining sister mixed some previously recorded but unreleased material and put out a final record after his death, I think it was her love letter to him. Kinda heartbreaking. This is one of their earlier songs when all 3 were still with the band.

The Hanseroth twins have been collaborators w/ Brandi Carlile for most if not all of her musical career.

Jenny Lewis is the lead singer of the band Rilo Kiley but she does some side projects, including a collaboration w/ twin sisters singing backup. This album was magical I thought. Video is a spoof of Hee Haw I think and somehow Sarah Silverman shows up briefly.

Del McCoury has been pickin' and singin' bluegrass music for just short of forever. His sons Rob and Ronnie have been touring with him for several decades, playing banjo and mandolin.

This band was a father, son and as many as 3 daughters (I think the membership fluctuated).

These brothers wrote a whole bunch of songs that became bluegrass standards that you hear over and over at festivals. This song has been recorded a bunch of times by a bunch of different people (Ricky Skaggs does a particularly tasty version).

The two founding members are sisters, but the band didn't take off until they added the lead singer.

If you're talking the quality of the music they made and the musicianship, Gentle Giant were head and shoulders above any other band ever. And if you ask me next week, I might even give you the same answer. On the first few albums, half of them were Derek, Ray, and Phil Schulman, all graduates of the Royal Conservatory (Phil left after three or four albums).

The amazing BBC live version of the first side of Tubular Bells, with Mike and Terry Oldfield.

Okay last one for now. There are some really well known ones I've left for someone else.

Lead singer and drummer are sister and brother. Lizzy has some pipes.
