OT: Songs about farm life, agriculture and animals from a barn

Like most Gillian Welch songs, this is beautiful and haunting. She and David Rawlings put on a heck of a good show, too. Just the two of them, picking and singing, no other accompaniment, no percussion, doesn't need anything else.

Have seen she and David in concert at least half a dozen times. Wonderful every time.

Maggie’s Farm by the master, Bob Dylan. It always reminds me of my granddaughter, Maggie, who’s father is a farmer (I tell no lie). If someone could post how to link songs, I’ll link it.. but this old guy has no idea how one does that.

A classic in my mind.... Asleep At The Wheel does a nice version among others also but have to go with the original from Louis Jordan.

All I need is some inspiration.
Before I do somebody some harm.
I feel just like a vegetable.
Down here on the farm.

Gone are the days when the ox fall down,
Take up the yoke and plow the fields around.
Gone are the days when the ladies said' "Please,
Gentle Jack Jones won't you come to me."

Here's a little more conventional song about trying to get a horse to the point where you could get her in a barn...
