OT: Sergio Garcia Goes Very Low

Shoots a 61 for the round and a 27 on the back nine.

Birdied 10, parred 11 and birdied the last seven holes. 11 straigh putts to from 9-18.

If the kid could putt he'd have won 3-4 majors…..of course there is also a case of the apple lodged in the throat during closing time!

He's playing well, never used to like him but kind of find myself pulling for him a bit more lately…….

What's the big deal???: I do that every time I play. Sometimes I hit 27 by the 5th hole, sometimes the 6th, etc .

I think most golf fans have come around to liking Sergio for a couple of reasons.

He had to eat some humble pie and make changes to his putting game. Tee to green he'd always been incredible but to change his putting stroke and make it work takes time and practice.

Also, he stopped pouting and acting like a bit of a brat. Goes a bit towards the first humble pie. He isn't and wasn't ever going to be Tiger so he had stop acting like he should be treated like Tiger.

Finally, he eventually took the crap about the yips in stride and in good natured way too.

His British Open performance turned a lot of good will his way.

Yes and very short……..490 dogleg right - cut driver/hybrid/20 footer…….no heroics I promise can't hit it far enough……...

Never liked him but he is really playing some great golf of late… Seems more comfortable in his own skin…

And Sergio didn't seem very douchey to the woman whose ring finger he hit causing her zirconium to pop out of her ring.
