Our local swim team, of which my kid is a member, is heading to a swim meet at UConn over the summer.

I think there will be 25 kids and 25 adults - is there a place in Storrs or nearby that can handle a crew that large on a Saturday night? I suggested Nathan Hale given that we're staying there but for whatever reason, the team's organizing muckity muck wanted to look elsewhere.

Is Chucks /Margaritas still around? That was on 32 pretty close to campus. Willi Pizza (which I don't like, but others do for some reason) is close by and probably kid friendly.

Back when I was a student and coaching a youth basketball team, Willi Pizza always took us in for our end of year meal with families. Fewer kids than your swim team but there was always plenty of room.

BTW, what's wrong with Ted's?

I don't think Electric Blue is a kid's place.

Willi Pizza can handle that #... My wife has work functions there at least once a year for 25-50 and they are super accomodating. Good pizza too...

I get nervous with people recommending a pizza place in the greater Storrs area. But then again, it has been decades since I was at UCONN. The pizza sucked back then.

Willington pizza very well could be the best pizza in the world! No lie!

Ray Allen chows down there in legendary pizza eating style on occasion! Plus some of the UConn hoops team loves it there! QUITE FRANKLY :) on a cold winter evening before/after a BIG huskies game this place is jamming and has just a warm feel to it! The checkered table coverings are just so old school yet give you that warm homey feeling. One time I ate a large pizza pie by myself!! I was a little down and this place warmed me up! :)

The UCONN Hoops team also stopped at a Pizza Hut on their way home from the airport after the championship! Basketball prowess does not necessarily correlate to pizza taste :)

For many years after graduation we regularly visited Tony's in Willimantic. I always liked them. Willington is good as well, but in the wrong direction from where I live in Norwich.

Willington Pizza is great
Beyond proximity to Storrs and its pizza quality desert, what's so great about Willington Pizza? Not looking for an argument, but has it become something special in recent years? Seriously.

It's a 10 min drive. It's very good Pizza and they have a variety of different options on the menu. Whenever my parents come up to visit at school that's pretty much the place we go to. Delicious

Easy one! Just take them all to The Dairy Bar and get them each their own gallon of ice cream.

Willington Pizza on River Road in Willington is a good bet. They have great pizza and three large dining rooms. They can set up long tables for large parties. Beer & wine for the adults.
