On route 66 next to the post office. Records are in 3 places throughout the shop. If you are looking for classic rock from the 60's, 70's and 80's there is a great selection.

record stores still exist in CT? I used to frequent them (I can't believe I'm saying this) way back when....(80's, early 90's)

It's good if you can support your local used record place... if you still have one near you! Cutler's in New Haven is closing (if they haven't already). Last time I bought vinyl was at Replay Records in Hamden. Nothing can replace digging in crates and seeing something from another era that might be crap, might be great, you take it home and it's gold. But if you know a specific record you're looking for you can always look online, aside from the obvious - amazon, ebay, some of the surviving shops have online presences like amoeba.com, othermusic.com, turntablelab.com that sell vinyl (and equipment too. Oh and the latter two are in NYC if you want to spend a day shopping). And gemm.com is a good place to search for used stuff too.
Cutler's closed last June

Exile on Main Street in Branford sells vinyl.

Take 5 Audio in New Haven still sells turntables (and everything else for home stereo and theater).

The VERY BEST place in the area is Mystic Disc. Awesome place, been there FOREVER!

I've been meaning get the turn table out and also see what my dad did with his collection. Knowing my mother it was just thrown out. I don't even know if my new amp has a phono input.
