I have a bet with my friend, who is a duke fan, that Mason Plumlee won't be a lottery pick. I was just wondering peoples' opinions on this.

Depends. I'm gonna say no because he pretty much hit his ceiling. Not much room for improvement.

Does he deserve to be a lottery pick? Probably not in most years.

But this is the weakest draft in years and there's a glaring lack of centers in the NBA.

Some could argue that Plumlee is a 4 and not a true center at the 5.

I still think he goes in the lottery.

I don't know about this. There's an athleticism ceiling sure but a lot of guys have remade their games to carve out a role in the NBA.

This is pretty much a 50/50 bet, IMO. I say he'll probably go at the tailend of the lottery, but he could easily slide into the mid to late first round.

He's a coordinated and surprisingly athletic big. If I had a late lottery pick I'd take him.

He won't be much of a player in the next level but that doesn't mean there isn't someone out there thinking they can work with him!!

I would say he has about a 75% chance of getting picked in the lottery. Weak draft, and you can't teach 6'11. He doesn't completely suck, which should be good enough this year.

I'd say closer to 6'9", can't put it on the ground, can't shoot it and while he was somewhat physical at the NCAA level can you see him against Reggie Evans at the next one? Again, someone may see something and I could be wrong but there's not a lot of tools other than size and athleticism there.......you don't suddenly learn to shoot it or dribble it at that age

he may go 10-13
