Don't really care. His legacy will still (rightly) be forever tarnished by his absolutely despicable lack of action.

To this day, I'll never understand why UConn didn't sue the NCAA over the ban.

Because Mark Emmert is a vindictive piece of , and they knew there would be retaliation.

Plus, UConn has a bad history with lawsuits over sports.

The NCAA allowed a trojan horse on this one.

A court would have absolutely no interest in adjudicating how many wins count in a record book (although I always wondered why the NCAA took away post 1998 wins instead of post 2002--that never made any sense).

It was crazy that the NCAA fined the school $60m with the proceeds intended for the NCAA's own coffers, when you have Emmert making millions.

The money should have gone to child abuse prevention in the state of Pennsylvania. The NCAA opened themselves up to this rearguard action by overreaching.

Penn State alum/students are the most delusional people on the planet

screwed up. He deserved those to be taken from him and no one in their right minds should have been bullied by the "Paterno" family who's father allowed little boys to be taken advantage of. I call BS

I mean, covering up a child molester is a big deal, but vacating 13 seasons worth of wins for an off-field incident just seems weird to me.

I know I am in the minority, but I don't see why a pedophile on staff should result in vacated wins. One has nothing to do with the other.

Setting the precedent for eventually giving back UNC's and NCs that will be vacated

Once again, all of the NCAA actions are due to the NCAA having no standing to impose these sanctions in the first place. The lawsuit over that issue was set to begin next month, meaning Emmert on the stand discussing his plans to blackmail Penn St along with every terrible thing he and the NCAA have done. They wanted no part of it for that reason and the fact they were going to lose and lose big.
