The snow is not a big deal...the power outages, on the other hand, could be. Be safe all.
That was pretty funny. Child like glee.Oddly the only thing I can think of on this topic of a snow storm was a Raven player making confetti angels after the "Big Game".
I worked at Winchester Firearms in '78. It started snowing around 9:00 AM on Monday and almost all of the employers sent their workforces home. Not mine. He required the second and third shifts to come in too. I was driving a Porsche 914 then and knew that wasn't going to get me home to Bethany. I found another guy from Bethany who had a four-wheel drive Chevy Blazer so I hitched a ride with him. We had to battle some snowdrifts but at 5:00 PM New Haven was a ghost town and we made it. We did not go back to work until Friday.Odd for me. We were to visit family near Syracuse starting Friday. I live near New Haven. We decided to drive today instead of being unable to leave tomorrow. At Syracuse now. Very little snow on the ground now. Tomorrow we get an edge of the storm but maybe 8 inches and schools usually don't call off. How often can you escape snow in CR by heading to Syracuse. The kid next door is supposed to do my shoveling while we're basking in the warmth of Onandaga County.
In 1978 I remember very well the huge drifts. My boys were all little. I started to shovel and my back went. My poor wife had to finish about 75% of the work.
