I know that some UConn fans are done with baseball for this season, but I will still watch games.

Northeastern had wild ending against Bethune-Cookman in elimination game. Homer in top of ninth broke the tie and then insurance run was scored by Northeastern after steal of second base. Runner scored from second on high pop up which was not touched by Bethune third baseman. They needed that as Bethune scored a run on error by Northeastern first baseman. They will go on to play loser of Florida State/ Mississippi State.

In other action with local teams. Nebraska beat Holy Cross in elimination game. Both CCSU and Fairfield are losing in must win games as well.

Holy Cross and Fairfield biting the dust. Northeastern lives to play another day. Great game. Turned off boring Champions League to watch.

Creighton looked good. Will watch tonight

I turned in late to the URI/LIttle Rock game. Tough break for URI player who appeared to hit 2RBI double to close the gap to 22-12 Little Rock in bottom of ninth. Unfortunately, he clearly missed first base and safe call was overturned on review. URI goes down 22-10. Another regional team goes down in defeat.

Murray State has a wild one going vs GT.
Columbia would be a Cinderella story.
GT just took what SHOULD HAVE BEEN a third strike to end the game. Ump calls it a ball and the next pitch is a double. 13-11 Murray State two outs. Terrible.

Good to see Vandy and Texas lose last night!

The SEC national seeds #1, 2, and 7 are now in loser's bracket.

Louisville's win over Vandy has the ACC up 5-0 over the SEC in the regionals.

The SEC has 16 wins and 10 losses with better seeds...but don't shed any tears, half of the CWS will still be SEC.

Northeastern never does well in the regionals. On paper, they always have great pitching depth and look like the type of team that can survive a trip to the loser's bracket. In practice, their offense is consistently shut down.

They have lost to the likes of George Mason, NJIT, etc in recent years because they cannot hit when it matters. Heck, Bethune almost got them yesterday. Maybe some of those arms would like to transfer to a local program who can score in the postseason...? :)

Georgia's season is over. Two 2 run HRs in ninth and Oklahoma State plates 4 in ninth to win. That was fun to watch.

Well, we got one out. See ya Georgia!
Hoping for losses for Vanderbilt and Florida as well. Both are losing. I can't watch the Florida game on ESPN+ due to media rights. I am about 130 miles away.

Vanderbilt is one SEC team that I actually respect and like but still nice to see the arrogant SEC teams lose.

Yes I like Vandy but they are arrogant too. Hoping Tennessee drops out too.

Yes, but……..many of us thought Oklahoma State robbed UConn of a berth. Glad to see the SEC suck wind though.

Come on Wright St don't let me down.

I want both the SEC and Big 12 to lose. Unfortunately, they played each other in that game.
