Men OT: MCWS Action

Schnall should not be commended for his comments. He complains about a grown man shooing him back to the dugout and then makes fun of the other empire's athleticism in the same breath. He also did more than say "you missed three strikes." The ump said that is enough and told him to get back in the dugout. Schnall lost his and walked further out. That is what got him tossed. This ain't the minor leagues, leashes are a lot shorter in the NCAA.

I disagree with you. It was a way overreaction by home plate umpire. He warned Schnall about arguing ball/strikes and should have turned his back and walked towards the LSU dugout. If Schnall chased after him then he had cause. Pitiful.

I agree that it was a quick hook, especially given the implications of the game, but it is in line with the threshold I have seen from the NCAA. I wouldn't have tossed him, but he was pressing the issue and didnt simply say "you missed 3 calls" and go back.

I could not disagree with you more, and that was only after watching the video. It should tell you all you need to know that this umpire was already removed from major league baseball for having a short fuse and wrongly ejecting multiple players. He'll rightly never umpire another college game now either
