So what are your thoughts on this matchup? Who you picking? Will Floyd indeed make the superfight against Canelo Alvarez if he wins saturday?

I think Floyd is going to win this fight but if he is at all rusty or has lost a step which he appeared to against Cotto it could be a tough night for Floyd. I think Floyd wins a lopsided decision but Guerrero wins a couple of rounds late and gets to Floyd with some good shots. Should be fun.

I was rooting for Guerrero until his dad opened his mouth, now I am rooting for money mayweather.

I think Floyd wins and honestly I think it will be a good close fight. I think Guerrero has the potential to wear him down a little, but At the end of the day Floyd takes it.

I think Geurrero wins as many rounds as Floyd decides to take off. And I don't think Canelo's ready for him.

Going to be an fun fight, Guerrero will have no issue taking it to Floyd, will be interesting to see how Money responds. Still see Mayweather taking the decision.

Another Money May snoozefest. Mayweather wins by UD.

One of these days Floyd is going to show up and not be Floyd any longer due to father time. I keep envisioning a Roy Jones like demise for him.

I don't know about everyone else but now that Money May is with Showtime I don't have the same interest. I used to love watching 24/7 leading up to his fights.

I had no interest in that fight which is really rare for me - I usually say I'm not going to buy 'em and then I do it anyway.

I didn't even pay attention to the results until I saw the headline on ESPN about FM's win. (I guess it was pretty easy.)

At this point, I just want to see him fight Alvarez. Not interested in seeing anything else.

He had a similar show on Showtime leading up to this fight that was just as good, if not better than 24/7.

The show was called "All Access". Pretty much the same exact thing as 24/7. As for the fight, Mayweather dominated throughout. Guerrero was a formidable opponent. Held belts from 4 different weight classes and had a record of something like 30-1-1. Mayweather is just far and beyond any of his competitors as of right now. I actually watched the undercard fights as well and all in all I thought it was well worth the money.

moneys pretty incredible, looked nothing like a 36yr old who hadnt fought in a year. he was toying with guerrero the entire time--never seen someone avoid solid contact so easily

There's no one alive today that can touch Mayweather. And by "touch," I'm not talking about beating him - there's literally no one alive that will be able to even land punches.

Even in his prime, Pacquiao never really had a shot against Mayweather, but now? That thing would be over by Round 3.

The only potentially interesting future fights would be Alvarez or Timothy Bradley Jr. vs. Floyd in a year or two. And a lot of that interest stems from the inevitable decline of Mayweather, rather than Alvarez/Bradley being on his level (because, well, they're not).

Bradley? he would get beat by floyd the way floyd beat hatton. bradley is an undersized welterweight with no power and average speed.

Im not the biggest floyd fan but he looked fantastic last night. looked much better than he did against cotto where he looked like wore down late and took some good shots. this is the best ive seen floyd since the marquez fight. that being said i think the only fighter who has/had a legit shot of beating floyd was sergio martinez but sergio is physically falling apart from all the wear and tear he puts on his body fighting guys 20lbs heavier than him.
Canelo was exposed by Trout in his last fight and would be in trouble if he cant hurt floyd early and often. i think floyd could stop him late if canelo tires like he did against Trout.

The one fight that intrigues me is the Mayweather vs. Pacquiao. I believe Pac will KO May. Cotto hurt May. And Pac is faster and more powerful and skillful than Cotto whom Pac kayoed and knocked down twice. Perhaps May is still cleverly dodging Pac?

What happens when Floyd hits Pac? Which will happen first many times.

May can connect on Pac easy but it would be mostly potshots , single shots that do not have KO zing that often may not lead to an accumulative KO, just like what happened in the Guerrero fight. May does not use combinations aplenty because that thing exposes you to counter punches. He is defense-oriented and quite good at it. But he can get hit, too. Mosley almost knock him out. Cotto hurt him in 3 separate rounds. Pac can get him too. With hurtful combinations, one of which will land a solid punch, maybe more, ala Mosley. I'd be excited to see that fight. I would think May could win by a decision - never by a KO. If there is a KO win , should it happen, expect to be unleashed by Pac. May just keeps running away from Pac. That is his best quickness. Running away from strong opponents. Everyone knows that - including you. Now he is running away from Alvarez. Funny, this coward May.

You clearly haven't watched Pacquiao in about three years.

Don't get me wrong, he was never beating Mayweather. The only way he would have it by landing a perfect punch, and no one lands punches on Mayweather. Pacquiao wouldn't have either, not even in his prime.

But now? I'm not sure he would land a single power punch. Or a single punch.

I watched the Pac-Bradley and Pac-Marquez fight last 12 months. Pac connected on them with powershots. Guerrero landed several punches and won rounds 1,2 and 9 against May. Pac is much faster and more powerful than Guerrero. On simple logic, which you may not have, Pac will connect on May, that's for sure. Wanna bet?

Mayweather would dismantle pac right now if he fights the way he did in the early stages against guererro. cautiously throwing accurate single punches and he could win a pretty easy decision. if he were to try to land some combinations on pac he`d be in trouble. pacs handspeed is on par with floyds and his combinations are lethal. if at any time floyd plants his feet and exchanges he`s in danger of going to sleep.

while i dont think pac would win like you do i completely agree manny is going to connect at some point. guerrero is a C fighter manny is an A+ level fighter. people need to realize guerrero was dominated because hes not elite fighter just look at what cotto was able to do compared to what guerrero was able to do. neither one of those fighters is on mannys level. people see manny get ko`d now thats all people remember. to remind people manny is 5`6 145lbs when he walks into the ring fighting guys much taller and heavier for the last 3 years. manny should actually be fighting at 135 or maybe 140 tops. floyd is a big welterweight who has no trouble making 154lbs without looking overweight or slow.

Anyone who knows boxing even if you dont like manny knows that he is one of the last guys on the planet you want to slug it out with. its sheer stupidity and a quick way to go to sleep. unless your name is marquez:D

Marquez vs. Pac: That's another fight I'd love to watch. It would be extremely intriguing if neither fighter is on steroids. A classic fight - mano a mano, all systems go. One for the ages. Without PEDS assistance, of course, on each side.

He would land some punches. As would Floyd. But as "everyone know" once you get knockout cold you tend not to have as good of a chin. And this would be a fight Floyd would be motivated for. I don't like Floyd to much but there is no doubt he is the best pound for pound fighter right now. And perhaps the most technically sound fighter ever. He can adjust in the ring he is a thinking fighter. PAC has 1 style move forward when Floyd takes that away he will have no other options.
