I posted a while back that we had learned that my late brother's wife was pregnant - it turns out she's carrying two - one boy and one girl. Knowing there will be two instead of just one to carry on his torch is just about the best news I've ever received.

That's awesome Joober, your brother will never truly be gone if you keep his memory alive, you will see your brother in those kids faces every time you are with them.

Awesome news! One boy, one girl = the best of both worlds.

So happy for you and your family! Thank you for updating us.

We couldn't be any happier, especially my parents. My brother was their youngest son and 2nd youngest child overall so they've really been hit hard. They're both feeling a great deal of comfort right now from this.

Congrats man. Will be so cool to be a mentor to those kids. Best of luck for healthy and happy family.

Congrats joober......you're brother will be watching and you will make him proud with your mentoring....his life is very much with you X 2!

Congratulations! Also hoping his widow will have lots of help.
She will, she's moved in with me and my family so she'll definitely have the assistance of my wife and myself. Plus, there's my son who is only 2 but he pours a mean bowl of cereal.

Hell, by the time the twins are born your boy will know how to escape a crib, turn on cartoons and play games on an iphone. If he could drive and cook those kids could get their own place!

Congrats sir. That's amazing news.

I find it very cool that for as much grief as we give each other on this board, everyone is very supportive and always a friend when it really matters.

Dude, total props to you on that. Way to step up. I remember people asking me why I was moving home (to Massachusetts from Sydney, Australia), because my mom was sick. She had terminal cancer and needed assistance, so I moved home to help out. That's just what family does.

I couldn't believe people were surprised at that. Does everyone else just let family hang? What's the point of having family then?

I feel the same way and want to thank each and every one of you for the support. It truly means a lot.

The twins may have lost their father but I sense they have also gained a father and not just an uncle.

Congrats (if you will) to your family.

I'm very much hoping to fill those shoes. I haven't even met these kids yet and already love them as if they were my own.
