I have been good and not had any as yet, but in the old days I thought the best Halloween candy was a Baby Ruth bar. Sometimes I would like the Snickers better, but Baby Ruth by a hair for me.

Some kids came to the door just as the Breeder's Cup Classic left the gate.

There are now a half-dozen neighborhood kids with Snicker-sized welts on their foreheads from having candy gunned at them. A forehead looks a lot like a backboard when you're in a blind hurry to get back to the tube.

For no good reason, I swore off sugar about two months ago. It wasn't hard until I had to sit in a house with twelve pounds of Snickers and Kit Kats. Every kid is getting about nine each so I don't have the quandary of leftovers.

So far, two of my favorite candies have been named among some folks worst.

You people have no taste.

My favorite is actually Zero bars. But as long as there's no coconut in it, I'll probably eat whatever's left over. We always have left overs, because my wife is loath to just not buy any candy, just in case this is the year we actually get a trick or treater. I believe we have had one 'crew' of two kids in the last 30 years or so.

Growing up my next door neighbor was a pediatric dentist so I used to get toothbrushes and floss...

That being said...100 grand, fast break, twix, milky way, whoppers.

Anything with almonds or coconut is going in the garbage

Also, I don't eat candy any more so there's that...
