Ridiculous second half by Melo. Amazing what Kenyon Martin has given this team, hopefully Amare doesn't come back next round.

The Celtics are just in a bad spot. No Rondo, KG is finished and unless Doc gets that Crawford vs Novak mismatch again (lol) the C's have no one besides Pierce that can create their own look. And as I mentioned earlier, they don't have a PG to break down the Knicks average defense. They'll get the token home win, probably in Game 3, but I still think this one is over after five.

Game 2 is on MSG and TNT. So much better hearing Breen and Frazier call the game.

I agree. Mike Breen is by far the best play by play commentator in the business IMO. Frazier has grown on me over the years.

Impressive defense again. Gotta take care of business in Boston.

As a Knick fan I just believe that we're up 2-0 on the Celtics. Pierce and Garnett have owned us for such a long time.

Celtics in 5

Haha.

Celts will win at least 1 in Boston, I think, but this team is done. Nobody's touching the Heat anyway.

I think the Knicks can touch the Heat. They matchup really well against them.

What is touch? Win a game or two? You don't honestly believe you can beat them 4 times in games that matter at the highest level?

When you're a fan you believe your team can do anything so yes I do believe that the Knicks can beat the Heat if they were fortunate enough to see them again this season.

As a longtime Knick fan I readily admit we will not/can not beat the Heat. I'm nervous enough about the Pacers next round.

A lot of Knicks fans are pretty confident, since the Knicks played well against the Heat this year. I guess, like JaY said, when you're a fan, you have to believe.

Like the Celtics, the Heat can rush out to a sizable halftime. Unlike the Celts, the Heat won't score 30 points in the second half. Hey, I'd love to see it happen. I've got no love for Miami. But I would be surprised if it lasted 6 games.

The Knicks gotta keep the pedal to the medal and not go into Boston with a feeling of comfort. I will talk about the Heat when/if they get there.

This. Maybe the Bulls can do us a solid and beat them up for 7 games for us.

I'm cool with fans believing they can win. Having said that, Miami is on a different level now than at any time this season. These aren't early season games or games with backup guys starting. These are playoff games against a team that has played in two straight finals and won the last one. I sometimes think people look at Miami, see the star power and forget that they are a battle tested championship team. Upsets happen but it seems like it will take something unimaginable for someone to beat Miami.

I am a huge Knicks fan and I think they can challenge the Heat better than any other team in the Eastern Conference but I think that if we get lucky enough to see a Knicks/Heat series that at most it will go to 6 games. Would love to be wrong though.

Knicks up 16 at the half. Pierce looks injured.

Including the playoffs Miami is 40-2 in their last 42 games.

Glad we won this one so we didn't give Boston any life or hope.

I just hope we repay them the sweep they gave us two years ago.

Just put it away on Sunday, I was at the game tonight, its amazing what a difference a pg makes vs a team without one. Shump, Prigs D was amazing, and Kidd playing reduced minutes makes a big difference. I have a friend who personally knows the Knicks shooting coach Dave Hopla I was able to meet him after the game. Tyson and Kmart kept rotating in and out and wore down KG. JR has gotta keep his cool.

Amazing how many Cs fans wanted to toss Ray on the scrap heap for Avery Bradley, even before Ray walked (not this board, since we're biased). A fresh Bradley tends to look great in the regular season when he is playing harder than everyone else (to his credit). In the playoffs, though, everyone plays hard and Bradley doesn't stand out. He regresses to the ordinary: a guy who can't create anything for himself or others, and who you can help off of with no fear.

Yeah - Ray was (and is) near the end of his line and can't guard anyone any more, so Bradley was a needed piece to the puzzle and they could have co-existed. Plus Rondo's absence now probably hurts Bradley, since defenses aren't broken down for him. But the notion that Bradley was talented enough to be a full-time replacement at the 2 with an aging Pierce/Garnett, making Ray unneeded, was crazy.

That's awesome, I was excited when I heard Hopla was working with the players. Woodson keeps throwing different players at KG and Pierce and the overall schemes he's used to shut them down has me excited for our playoff run. And that Priggy Smalls dive was insane. Guy plays with so much heart.

Us Knicks fans know that better than anyone the last two years. Billups got hurt in 2011 and Lin last year. We basically had Toney Douglas as our starting PG in the playoffs.

wait what? Celtics were gassed but lets not ignore how bad the Knicks looked @ home. still looks like a tight series. They need Bradley and green to be more consistent. In Avery's case, less cheap fouls.
Excuse me ? Knicks are up 3-0 and were leading the Cs at home by nearly 20 at times.

The very definition of NOT tight. More like OVER
