If Kasongo goes Juco we can actually discuss him next year too.
Please no.

Good. Go to Memphis. Good for the AAC. Have to make it a good conference as long as we are stuck in it...Oregons roster is a mess.
Kasongo is looking at Cal and Memphis supposedly.
He seems like the PERFECT Memphis recruit.Oregons roster is a mess.

How does a Memphis fan on this board have more likes than posts? Congratulating the Huskies on another national championship would do the trick. Is Kasongo a project big man? If so we don't need that at Memphis. Can he make an impact from day 1? You guys were on him pretty hard, what is your evaluation of him?

Don't you find some dark humor in a kid engaging in that fiasco and choosing Oregon and then not getting in? There should be some info on whether you can get accepted before you commit, no?Wow, can we give this kid a break? Ray is in a rough spot. No kid deserves this kind of negative press. Oregon didn't admit him. It is what it is. Doesn't make him a bad kid or some kind of felon. Not every kid or parent knows who are looking out for the best interest of the them/or their child. I feel bad for Ray. "Handers" can often be a bad thing in college basketball recruiting. Not all are bad. Seems like Ray got some bad advice & he seemed to want to attend UConn. I hope he lands some place where he can just play, attend college & succeed. Let Ray be Ray.... No need to bash on him.

I'm kind of glad his handlers are getting bad press/tweets. They really fd him. Not necessarily by choosing Oregon but by moving him from high school to high school to pseudo high school. Hopefully kids learn fom this not to go to sketchy schools like Kasongos final one. Cassell had similar issues with an NBA father and no real handlers and much less sketchy high school, so it happens outside those circumstances but any time a handler or pseudo basketball school gets put in a negative light I'm OK with it. I feel bad for Kasongo, as he seems like a decent kid.
And a pina colada my friendBad Sneakers, perhaps?

Maybe, but where's the fun in that?By not being an ...It's really not that tough, you should try it.![]()
We took AB- a project no one had heard of-We took Lubin- who no one has heard of and they may both wind up going pro.
We could have done wonders for Kansago while he was here. I just feel bad he is going to somewhere else and will most likely barely improve in four years. Poor kid sounds like he has 15 people to support- it is a shame it did not work out at the time. We are on to bigger and better things now- wish him well.

So did North Carolina.
Trashon Burrell will start at 2 once he gets here. He is a natural scorer and does a lot of dirty work in getting rebounds and can assist as well. He also has better handles than the guards currently at the 2. He was a top 10 juco for a reason. I expect something similar to Geron Johnson but taller and more gifted offensively.Never mind the fact we graduate players and maintain a perfect APR.
Memphis needs a good guard who can play the point...we have lots of good forwards.

That's the thing Grant Milner has said that it is a fight for PG between Crawford, Pookie, and Magee. Pookie is going to win that battle most likely. Markel still isn't in form from the knee injury and hasn't made much improvement on his shot. Burrell at the moment is more talented than crawford. Crawford just has a high ceiling at the moment. Burrell is an impact guy who scores from outside, midrange, and in the paint. This is from people within the program. When you are averaging 25.5 pg 7.7 Rebs , and 4.5 assist you are going to make an impact no matter what. This is why Pastner is high on Burrell when he committed and likely why he will be our starter at 2. Don't let the fact he went to juco fool you and don't get caught star gazing at Crawfords rank out of high school.Doubt he starts over the more talented Markel Crawford, but I'll trust Pastner to make that call.
For those of you who haven't been following the IERT (the irrational exuberance recruiting thread), Rakim Lubin has just passed Ater Majok on the "unreal expectations" chart and is rapidly approaching Ajou-Ajou Deng.We took Lubin- who . . . may . . . wind up going pro.
