If you remember the name Jeremy Lin he was the Harvard point guard who lit us up for like 32 points a couple of years ago. He went undrafted and in his second year was cut by the Warriors and Rockets, well he's now on the Knicks and he was sort of inserted into the lineup out of desperation and has absolutely lit it up the past 2 games leading the Knicks to wins. He had 25, 7 and 5 against Deron Williams and then followed it up with 28, 8 and 5 against the Jazz. I watched both games and was incredibly impressed, he was breaking his man off the dribble and getting to the rim constantly. He has a great first step and great body control finishing around the rim through contact and the ability to finish with both hands. He has very good size and court vision, always keeping his head up and has very good size and athleticism for a pg, if he develops a better jumshot he will be extremely hard to stop. I know it's just 2 games but I saw enough to know this is not a fluke, Jeremy Lim is about to become a huge story in the ssports world.

I watched about 10 minutes of the Erie/Maine D-League game a couple of weeks ago (mainly to see him) and he was clearly the best player on the floor.

I haven't seen the past 2 games (except for highlights) but I did see him get his first meaningful minutes of the season against the Celts. I couldn't help but root for him to do well even though he was playing against my team.

I have no feelings either way towards the Knicks or Harvard, but for some reason I am rooting for this kid as much as I've ever rooted for a non-Husky. I guess it's a combination of rooting for the underdog and seeing stereotypes being confronted.

I think he's done a lot in the last week to earn himself a spot on the roster for the rest of the season. I'm hesitant to make any declarations beyond that.

I've had a ton of respect/rooted for Lin since I saw him at Gampel.

He could definitely fit nicely into a D'antoni system

This kid has been passed over his whole life because of his Chinese/Taiwanese descent. He was California high school player of the year and didn't get one D1 scholarship offer. He had a great career at Harvard and had great measurables at the combine and played very well in tryouts but still went undrafted. He outplayed John Wall and other more highly touted players in the summer league but still wasn't really given a chance, the Warriors and Rockets gave him a quick look but cut him before giving him a real look. Now he is finally getting a real chance and he's running with it, I really think we will be hearing a lot about Jeremy Lin.

Asian moms around the country are confused... "Wait, he plays NBA basketball, AND he went to Harvard???"

As a Knicks fans I've been thrilled to watch him these past two games. He won't be able to keep it up at this level but the kid can't run the pick and roll.

Jeremy Lin story has been amazing. I knew he was a player when he dropped 32 on our Huskies a few years back. I watched the Knicks game yesterday after the UCONN/UL beat down and I got a lift from it. Jeremy Lin played very well for someone who has almost no NBA playing experience. He played the entire 2nd, 3rd and 4th quarter for 45 mins. I do hope the coach will give him a break here or there cause he was clearly winded in the 4th. The crazy thing is UTAH send 2 players to double him multiple times. How many times do you see a Knicks PG get that kind of treatment?

The kid got a good head on his shoulder. He is humble and he is good. I hope he can keep it up.

Lin could have the same career as Chris Dudley (Yale) if he just works hard and brings a good game like he's been doing.

Great player I respect him.

Besides the Ivy connection, how are they even remotely comparable? Lin was the best player on the court when he played us and he has shown he has the talent to play in the league. It's particularly cool to see him breaking down a lot of stereotypes when he should've been given more of a chance based on his combine, d-league, and preseason play.

It's mainly the Ivy connection :p I think it's cool to see Ivy League players in the NBA.

Knick fans are cursing him out because they think he might have saved DAntoni's job for the time being.

He was with the Warriors all of last year, making the team as a free agent. He was also a fan favorite. Hardly a quick look. He was cut this year, I guess Mark Jackson didn't like what he saw or it was just a numbers situation. I'm really pulling for him. However, I don't know if he's quick enough. I haven't seen enough of him in the NBA. Knicks desperately need a point guard. Always thought KEA could play for them.

i dont think hes a fluke at all. hes got a quick first step,is a good passer, good decision maker, court vision and being asian hes had to face alot every time he`s stepped on a court so his toughness is unquestionable. this kid develops a consistant jumper and he could be a solid pg for the knicks for the next decade.

Comparing the flashy, talented, quick, and exciting Lin to that ponderous, ungainly white guy named "Dudley" is truly, horribly, a terrible thing to do.

I love the fact that he's Asian - and I have zero doubt that being an Asian male not only hurt his chances to get into most colleges in the U.S., it also hurt his chances to get to the NBA.

MLK would be proud of you Mr. Lin, as am I.

The next Victor Cruz maybe lol. When Baron Davis comes back Lin better not have his minutes taken away aside from getting some rest, hopefully this is a sign of things to come. Honestly im more worried about Melo that dude is made of glass, strains are avoidable injuries, his conditioning has always been an issue he is no Eddy Curry but he doesnt exactly look in shape. Melo better not stop the ball movement when he comes back.

I'm loving Linsanity...need Melo back ASAP. I just wonder what they're record would've been if Lin started the year (assuming he's for real).

Lin is an interesting player to watch. He doesn't jump out of the gym at you and isn't extremely fast but he seems in total control of his body and reads the defense really well. To be fair he has done what he has done against the Nets and Utah. Doing the same against Chicago or Miami will be a challenge.

I have no idea if he will keep it up, but certainly an impressive start for Mr. Lin.

It is very refreshing to see a player succeed with legitimate basketball skill and plays, rather than the normal NBA paradigm of rewarding plays with strength and speed with foul calls when they deliberately crash into defenders (LeBron, DWade, John Wall etc)

They're not confused, they're just going to be more disappointed in their children now. Damn you Jeremy Lin for raising the standards for Asian kids even higher.

The Knicks' ownership must be beside themselves thinking about the huge marketing potential of having a Chinese-American point guard given the huge untapped Asian (especially Chinese) community in NYC and tri-state area. This is like gold falling from the sky for them. Believe me, this kid will definitely get a shot to stick around.
