Nike finally came around to give us a logo shoe. But damn $150? Are these that comfy?

Where is everyone buying their gear from these days?

If they were $90, they’d have my money, but I found some Nikes I love that they make in navy blue that I can get for like $50/pair so I’ll stick with my “almost” UConn kicks
Yeah these look like $100 sneakers at most to me but the best logo in town adds a premium I guess?

It’s a middle of the road running shoe - like all running shoes these days, it retails for a ton, but you can get all day long for 85-90 bucks.

They are super comfortable, but this ^^^

I was honestly happy when I saw the pics and was underwhelmed with the level of branding, because I knew I wouldn’t be ‘had’ by them. I think if they had more obscene Jonathan and UConn lettering somewhere all over it they’d sell better, but with a swoosh on each side I feel like the tongue of the shoe is the only other place they could have and should have forced the logo

I was wondering when there would be a post about these shoes.

I bought a pair as soon as they were announced. As a runner, the Nike Pegasus is not my go to and for me, there are better running shoes out there but it is a good neutral daily trainer which compares pretty well with the Saucony Ride / Asics Nimbus that I use for daily trainers.

The Pegasus is a bit more of a jack of all trades than a specific running shoe - good for walking, cross training, and running.

$150 is pretty typical for these type of shoes when they first come out. Since I usually go through several pairs a year, I always buy my shoes once they have been out for a while and a newer model is released.

I do not plan on running in these but I know I could. I do plan on wearing them to the dozens of UConn basketball, football, hockey, baseball games I attend every year which is why I had to have them!! :)

Went to an outlet mall (Tangier) in Daytona - they don't stock them but you can return any Nike to any store and the only one returned was not my size.
