Single elimination tourney of 16 teams. UConn's win puts them in the Elite 8. Next game is Sunday afternoon vs the Maine / Penn St. winner.
I have to eat crow I was down on Cavanaugh. Loses Matt Wood to the portal and we have our best season in program history. This season is reminiscent of the 1990 dream season there is nothing like living in the moment of it.
Beating QU in a tournament game dominating them and answering everyone of their punches. Playing in Hockey East literally seems like every game is a tournament game.

How did 2 CT teams and Maine end up in PA with Penn State? Is it a P2 thing?

If Penn State holds on that would be huge. Maine is extremely good this year and this will be a big upset. Anything can happen, but I like our matchup vs them.

Just the way the seeding worked out. No true P2 exists in hockey, but Hockey East has been this season’s top conference. Inconveniently, Penn State’s been hot the last month or so and just happens to be a regional host.

Crazy thing is that Penn State straight up billionaired its way into hockey. Guy wanted a hockey program and now they have one.
Can't get a soul to go to a basketball game but flip a switch and they're nuts for hockey.

I’d say our number of fans was second in terms of gear that I saw walking around. But it’s essentially a home game for the Nittany Lions for sure. Going to be a tough game but we did look good. Tung is a stud. Rather than going to the bench during timeouts, he turns and kneels on the ice between the circles. Not sure if he’s meditating, praying or what but it was pretty cool to see.
Not irrational at all. Anytime ESPN can get in a "dig" on UConn they will.
