I grew up in NY and was fortunate to see a great deal of theatre growing up. Adding to what's already here, I'll go with mostly contemporary stuff. (Also, the two things I'm most passionate about are the UConn women and Broadway theatre, so I apologize in advance.)
- The opening of Hamilton stunned me (and I was cynically prepared NOT to be stunned):
- Natasha and Pierre and The Great Comet of 1812 was a spectacle unlike anything I'd ever seen: before: NATASHA, PIERRE AND THE GREAT COMET OF 1812 (Broadway) - "Prologue"/"Pierre" [LIVE @ GMA]
- The Great Comet Music Video: "Sonya Alone": YouTube
- "For Good," from Wicked-- with a twist (spoiler alert: audience member kicks ass): Kristin Chenoweth and Sarah Horn, For Good—Three Camera
- "A Little Priest" Sweeney Todd (1982): Sweeney Todd (1982) -- (Video Clip) A Little Priest
- "Not Getting Married Today" (from Company) is an amazing feat (remember Vera, from Alice?): (Not) Getting Married Today - Company OBC, 1970
- "King Herod" (, Superstar-- Original Broadway Cast: 1971): King Herod's Song (Original Broadway Cast: 1971)
- Once On This Island Revival (2018) "The Human Heart": Lea Salonga - The Human Heart - ONCE ON THIS ISLAND Rehearsals
- Hunter Parrish "Beautiful City" from Godspell: Hunter Parrish - "Beautiful City" from Godspell on Broadway
