OT: gym etiquette

Back in the day, (and maybe still there) UConn had those two relatively small, separate weight rooms with the pool in between. There would almost ALWAYS be a few CrossFit guys in there doing deadlifts, cleans, and jerks outside of the racks while grunting very loudly and unnecessarily slamming weights.

The gym was cramped enough as is.

I never liked those guys.

New gym should help solve that. It’s freaking massive.

Well there’s no point of taking up a rack to deadlift unless you’re adding banded resistance, and I wouldn’t want to be confined to the space of a rack if I were doing cleans.

Also, welcome to the gym. It’s loud.

.-.
Not sure what to make of the twentysomething guy wearing the AAA promo "Welcome to Olliewood" t-shirt in the Wallingford Westside Y locker room tonight, but it caught my attention.

I have one, and I’m saving it for 20 years or so to determine if it will still be “too soon” to wear it .
