The baby is playing the role of my wife reciting her honey-do list to me on a weekend. The dog is giving my typical response verbatim.

My husky used the same sounds to tattle on the cat when he was on the kitchen counter. Also, if I had anything in the oven, the cat was not permitted in the kitchen at all.
