It took him nearly 20 years to earn an undergraduate degree from Providence College. That is pretty sad on many fronts.

Pretty sure he wasn't enrolled for 20 consecutive years. He was playing overseas for most of that time I'd assume.

The fact that it takes the average graduating college senior 22-23 years to complete their degrees has me on the verge of tears every day.

An update to the God Shammgod story...he's decided to pursue a graduate degree at Providence and remain affiliated with their basketball program.

Most people don't give a crap, but I do like this story - remarkable career arc.

On the flip side, holy crap, God Shammgod is almost 40. Where did the years go?

So now wouldn't be a good time to ask your insight on how UConn is doing recruiting Charles O'Bannon Jr., class of 2017?
