"It seems that the height of the problem, per a report, is Glory Johnson-Griner's pregnancy -- and the fact that it has no biological connection to Griner."

Wait that was surprising to Griner? Oh man, hang on it's going to be an interesting ride.

did u see the pic of BG cuddling her belly... seems happy and aware to me?

She also looked happy to be married and that turned out not to be true as she is saying that she wanted to postpone the wedding. I have a theory about what caused the fight they had and how the pregnancy comes into play. Don't you find it interesting that these two who share almost every detail of their lives had never discussed publically that they were looking into their options when it comes to having a child? I think this pregnancy was a surprise.

I interpret this as BG being surprised by the fact that Glory is pregnant.

"In short, it seems like Griner is suggesting they were not on the same page when it came to the pregnancy."

Ummmm I think I read that they were looking at options... but she still cuddling her belly, looks aware and happy to me. If you had a problem with it would u be taking pics as such

Griner said she was surprised by the timing of Johnson's announcement, not the content.

Another rumor circulating is that the child may be Griner's biologically.... Is that possible?

We will probably have a few more rounds of "she said/she said." Does anybody really care? I mean, outside of ESPN?

Yes, it is possible if Johnson is serving a surrogate.

She never said that she was surprised by the "timing" of the announcement Fagan said "Glory announced last week that she is pregnant, was that a surprise?" The question is a bit ambiguous because it can be interpreted that she was surprised that Glory announced it last week or that it was a surprise that she is pregnant.

I think it's ambiguous in terms of whether Brit was surprised by the pregnancy itself of the timing of the announcement.

I give Brit credit for talking about it publicly and saying that she needed to get herself right before starting a union.

Best wishes to both of them and especially to the baby!

Some new info I guess on paternity - whose egg, etc.

"In court docs obtained by TMZ Sports, Griner says she has NO biological connection to the baby ... and she doesn't know any of the key details about Johnson's pregnancy.

In short, it seems like Griner is suggesting they were not on the same page when it came to the pregnancy.

Griner also says the marriage to Johnson is based on "fraud and duress" -- because Griner was "pressured into marriage under duress by [Johnson's] threatening statements."

Griner does not specify the nature of the threats.

Griner also says there was fraud -- but does not say why. It seems to be related to the pregnancy.

As for the fetus, Griner does not say if she wants to have any type of parenting arrangement with the child. "

How are they going to do that? The WNBA has no control over them getting married or Glory being pregnant.

Glory nor BG should be talking about it on social media... giving the W a bad image, talking about marriage or the baby carriage

This is not college...players get to be on social media if they want.

I don't have a dog in this fight, but I think most fans would prefer that personal business be kept personal for our sports personalities. Hard to admire a sport's figure when they are winging dishware at their personal other. The old standard was: Go air your personal laundry somewhere else. The most colorful expression of this I ever heard was in a diner outside of East Nowhere, where two waitresses were airing some personal laundry behind the counter and a patron got up to leave, but not before he said: "Every dog has an butthole, but every dog don't have to lick it."

I was not debating what SHOULD happen, I was debating what CAN happen, and they are both at liberty to discuss their marriage or pregnancy on social media if they want. I agree that at this point it would be best if they stay quiet and out of sight.

And I disagree that most fans prefer that personal business be kept private. The moment there is a new article about this situation it is eaten up by the fans.

Well, that when winging right over my small head!

I suspect that Keith Olberman is not unmindful of the fact that Howard
Cosell had a very successful career as a pompous windbag and the man
american sports fans loved to hate.

And you know, I kind of miss hearing Howard pontificating on Monday
Night Football (though I'm sure Al Michaels doesn't).

Yeah, but Howard was an original who gave you the impression he was sailing along blissfully on the sea of verbosity uncaring for either your opinion or viewership. The Big Zero gives you exactly the opposite impression.

Howard was a windbag, but he was a highly intelligent and insightful windbag with an instinct for the big story, ref Muhammed Ali.

Glory Johnson gives birth to twins.

Motherhood arrived suddenly last week for Glory Johnson. The former Tennessee women's basketball player announced on social media Sunday morning the birth of twins Ava Simone and Solei Diem last Monday.

"Born a little earlier than expected," Johnson wrote.

Johnson, who was playing for the WNBA's Tulsa Shock, and fellow WNBA player Brittney Griner were married in May. Griner filed for annulment, however, after Johnson announced her pregnancy.
