After yesterdays very frustrating loss, plus all of those Giants collapses last year, that ending to beat the cowboys was very calming. It was especially nice to watch the other team screw up to let the clock run out at the end.

P.S. Also very good to see that salsa dance again!

Getting the game winning touchdown 700 days after the last game you played is a nice welcome back. Glad to be on the other side of clock management issues after the last couple of Giants years.

Defense was better, too many open people 1st half but they came up big, made life tough for the receivers and punished them too..

So happy for Cruz !! Good win the Oline was ok better than I would have thought. Will be tougher lines though so hope they continue to improve.

Giants Org. really took care of Cruz. Kid brought too much excitement to NY to let him go elsewhere. Sometimes you want to bash the Org, but not this time. I know he is an additional threat but time will tell with the OBJ-Cruz wanting the ball. I am sure it will be fine.

Very promising game D looked good, Oline and running game and the passing game got going should get better as the season goes along, won a divisional game on the road.

Sheppard too, Vereen will be a weapon as well in the passing game, the hope is to have that 3 headed monster at WR like the Giants had in 2011 in Cruz-Nicks- and Manningham.

The Salsa Dance was definitely rusty. Hoping to see about 8 more. Love that dance.

That one was for you Mau. Good luck on the season. Being in Scotland for my wife's bucket list was not able to watch my Patriots and just saw they hung on for the win . Who needs Tom Brady, we got Jimmy.

Defense was much better. Did I see a tough Red Zone Defense? Could it be? Naaaaaaaaaaa. Well maybe so. Great job. Next, hosting the Saints at home. It would be great going 2-0, 1-0 in the conference.

They will get dinked to death again by Drew much like the first 3 series of the 'Boys and they had a tough time finding people. We will see but it would be nice to have a solid start for once.

Some promising things yesterday, one being the running game in the second half. Still concerned about the secondary because the Giants have been giving up 3rd and forever it seems forever. With Cruz back and adding the rookie Sheppard, the passing game is explosive.

Thought the secondary was excellent yesterday. Dak had all day back there and they did a great job limiting big plays. Jenkins held Dez to 1 catch for 8 yards, Witten and Beasley caught a ton of balls short over the middle but that is on the LBs.

The one concern with this team is the oline, if they protect Eli this team will be really good. Cowboys Dline is AWFUL so hard to take away much from yesterday on their performance.

Loyalty has never been an issue with the Giants organization. Sometimes they take it too far, but I'd rather have it that way than the opposite . . .

In turn Victor was loyal and stayed, took less money with incentives I'm sure. Teams would have offered more if he could have made their club just knowing who he was. Good story in this day and age of greedy athletes and owners.

Health. Please. The weapons at wide out and TE will help mask the team's biggest weakness in the OL. It will also help open up a running game we have not had in a number of years. Hoping they can build on that win.

LBer Thomas looked bad, guy has bad luck staying healthy decent player too. Last thing we needed was a LBer out.

Looked worse than it was, hopefully ... but their defense is the only area where they can really afford any injuries.

Also, having a healthy Cruz in the slot opens up those quick routes that were so lacking last year. Add in a WR2 (Sterling) that isn't sleepwalking on the field, and you give yourself three levels of options. Teams can't stack the box as often and we don't need to worry about Eli hanging on to the ball for so long.

Ezekiel Elliott was somewhat less than anticipated. 20 carries. 50 yards.

My girl is a pretty big Pats fan.

I told her I wouldn't be shocked if the following happens: Jimmy continues playing half-decently for the next three games. Brady comes back and Jimmy obviously goes back to the bench. Some desperate team(s) offer a starting job and starting pay. Jimmy takes a deal. Pats are back to square one finding Brady's replacement who won't have the two extra learning years in the league that Jimmy has had.

Garoppolo is signed through 2017. It'll be a while before he gets to cash in on any success he has in the first 4 games of 2016.

That's the last thing we needed? OBJ or Eli going down wouldn't be further down that list? JT Thomas is about our 5th LB right now - while I hate to see anyone hurt, he is actually one guy we could probably afford to lose. Wouldn't be surprised to see him on IR this week (depending on severity of injury) and Jasper Brinkley brought back. If that doesn't happen, I'd expect BJ Goodson to be active next week.

Any loss of depth at a weak position hurts. A couple guys played okay yesterday but this kid is talented, albeit hurt all the time. 5th LBer is someone we need as the past years have proven. When herzlich begins seeing too much time or any then we are in trouble.

.-.

You getting him mixed up with Kennard? Thomas is an extremely average linebacker who is 28 years old. Again, hate to see anyone get hurt, but he's certainly a guy we can afford to lose, especially since we can just bring back Brinkley and/or activate Goodson - two guys who are no downgrade from Thomas.

Yes Mooch I am, my bad thank you.

Also, I think he knew the Salsa would not work in any other Venue. Could you imagine scoring and doing the Salsa in Minnesota, Texas or Arizona?

with dak starting his first NFL game I assume they went with the stop the run and force him to beat us with the pass approach, also alfred morris is gonna get his carries too, dude is a beast.

GAINTS!
-Okay, now for the Saints. If the defense can shut down N.O.'s passing game I like New York's chances.
