13. Special Watergate Prosecutor Archibald Cox subpoenaed Nixon's White House tapes, Nixon refused. Nixon ordered Attorney General Elliott Richardson to fire Cox. Richardson refused and resigned in protest. Nixon then ordered Assistant AG William Ruckelshaus to fire Cox. Ruckelshaus, like Richardson, refused and resigned in protest. Nixon then ordered Solicitor General Robert Bork to fire Cox. Bork complied. All in one night.

1. Plame was the wife of an ambassador who also was a CIA agent. Responsible for leaks. Bush Administration, I think.

13. Nixon fired Archibald Cox, the special prosecutor investigating him for Watergate. I always loved this one. I h ad a bumper sticker on my car that read, "Impeach the Cox Sacker."

13. President Nixon asked his attorney general to fire Archibald Cox, the Watergate special prosecutor. The attorney general and the assistant attorney general resigned in protest/principle/ethics. Robert Bork was then named AG and he did Nixon's bidding. It cost Bork a seat on the Supreme Court a decade or so later.
