Bernie Mack in the cleanup position on the kings of comedy was 20 minutes of gold.
I haven't seen a comedian yet that I don't like on this list.

Greg Giraldo, how the duck is there a 3 page thread and nobody mentions Greg Giraldo, makes me sad. RIP to a genius.
I was a big Greg Giraldo fan as well. I saw him once in NYC and sadly, he was so stoned, he had no idea where he was and got in a shouting match with someone in the audience.

I must be old-school.
Definitely Richard Pryor, Eddie Murphy, & George Carlin.

On my personal stand-up Mt. Rushmore I'd also add Sam Kinison.

My favorite bit by Kinison was when he was telling the audience that the end to world hunger would be when the hungry just "MOVE TO WHERE THE fun-hating FOOD IS!!!!" Hysterical!

Yes, Giraldo is damned funny. Didn't know he was dead. Check out the vid and the gay marriage bit...epic.

On Dangerfield, he had a one liner I always remembered. He says, 'My wife gives me no respect. Last week, she cut me down to once a month. But that's okay, I know a guy she cut our altogether."

I'm old enough to remember when hardly any comedians used profanity and they could be pretty funny. Pre-Lenny Bruce, nobody used profanity unless in relatively obscure ways. Belle Barth was as profane as they got and very funny. A Redd Foxx type. Seinfeld is the only modern comedian I know of who won't use profanity.
Rodney's best line was "My wife and I decided we'd only smoke after sex. She's up to half a pack a day. I haven't had a cigarette in months!".

Carlin was one of the best ever. Among current comedians, Louis Black's Black on Broadway (nearly a decade old) was one of the best routine's ever. Half of the material may lose a bit as it addresses what no longer are current events but still the entire routine is absolutely histerical.

Chappelle will always be my favorite.

Louis would by my pick right now, Burr right behind.

Right now I am on the Bill Burr bandwagon. Would love to see if there are funny people out there who I don't know of. Who makes you ROTFLYAO?

That bill burr special is one if my favorite comedy specials of all time. Every time I watch it I laugh my ass off.

Bill Burr is coming to Foxwoods MGM Theatre on August 23rd. Tickets on sale tomorrow.

Hello.... Carrottop, Gallagher - no one even comes close.

Pablo Francisco, LCK, Burbiglia, and Jim Jefferies all great. I've seen them all. I would put Russel Peters close to the top too. Very funny guys. Has anyone seen Daniel Tosh stand-up? Just wondering.

Rob Schneider is playing in Manchester. Has anyone ever seen him do standup? Any good?

Carlin was the best ever. Never get tired of rewatching his HBO specials.

Pryor was right up there too. Just the best at their craft.

Guy in Florida named Erik Myers who is totally nuts.

Nobody for Dennis Leary? I quote "No Cure for Cancer" at least weekly.

Chappelle. Saw him at UConn during my undergrad, he did a show at Husky Blues. The first half of the show was his material, which was hilarious. The second half was complete improv, talking to people in the audience - and it was even funnier.

Runner up is Eddie Murphy. He had me drooling laughing back in the days - Raw and Delirious.

Jim Gaffigan and Jim Norton are my favorites of today.

Jonathan Winters who was of the funniest people ever.
