This is what the globalists want. They want to tell you what to think, what to to wear, what to eat, how to heat your home, what to drive, how much you are allowed to earn, how many kids you can have, and. These are just for starters. Thank god the majority of Americans won't put up with that b.s.

The problem is not the meat. It’s how it’s farmed. Regenerative agriculture increases yield and actually DECREASES the carbon footprint. No one talks about how big Ag is actually a big contributor to global warming but could be the solution!

Ten percent of agricultural lands under BEAM would sequester 18.4 Gt of CO2/yr. Ten percent of grasslands under regenerative grazing would sequester 9.8 Gt of CO2/yr. This would result in 28.2 Gt of CO2/yr being sequestered into the soil which is just under double the amount of sequestration needed to draw out more CO2 than is currently being emitted.

Which has far less to do with eating meat than it does junk food, soda and other highly processed garbage.

That said, industrial meat factories are not good for the environment, which, IMHO is where the real danger is. Americans should also learn to eat the entire cow, like Euros and other cultures do.

But... chapuline (grasshopper) tacos are delicious and fried maguay worms are a solid substitute for potato sticks. Those are a good entry point for eating bugs.
It's amazing how many people think meat is bad for you and how little is known by the general public on what is really bad for you. All those less fat options you see at the store are the real culprits, it's all sugar and processed oils.

When I first met the Mrs she was into ‘lowfat’ everything because she thought it was healthy. At the grocery store told her to get her low-fat peanut butter and I got my regular pb. She was shocked to see the carb/sugar content difference. And that’s not even factoring in the benefits of good fat.

I'm afraid the majority is not as large as it once was. Lots of indoctrination pushing various agendas seems to be having the effect the globalists want.

Very few people read the labels so they don't know much about how the crafty food purveyors add sugar and other items as substitutes for fat and the flavor fats add to foods.
Everyone needs fat as part of a balanced diet, especially because we need fat soluble vitamins like A, D, E and K. Vitamin D has now been established as an important element in the body's ability to fight the Wuhan Flu for example.

In all seriousness though I’m concerned that future governments will purposely bid up the price of meat to get us to stop eating it. We’ve already seen this in other countries with government controlled meat supply chains.

WOW, steak was expensive in Canada 12 years ago compared to US steak last year!

This straight outta /pol/ screenshot set off my BS detector so I wanted to know just how bad it is. Looks like Google says this cut was going for $22.43/kg CAD in 2019 which at today's exchange rate would be $16.03 USD.

Last year the stuff on the right was going for $5.39/lb or $11.88/kg for a difference of $4.15, which is a difference in price you can generally find between different stores in the same part of the state.

Looks like the globalist insectivore cabal is making progress in socialist gulag to the North, but not as much as we originally feared.
