OT: ESPN's Ryan Burr doing a lil recruiting for Syracuse

According to Rivals, he is high on Cuse and Kentucky, medium on everyone else. Are our chances that great anyways?

In their podcast, Katz and Gottlieb starting mocking fans for thinking that they hate their team. Katz said something along the lines of, "What you need to understand is Doug and I don't dislike anybody," and Gottlieb mumbled something about "Burr" while Katz kept talking over him.

Is this the guy Gottlieb dislikes?

"What you need to understand is that Doug and I dont dislike anybody. Doug just doesnt have a clue at all what he is talking about and is a total and utter in every aspect of the word, so he comes across as disliking most teams especially Uconn. It may not appear as such, but there is a difference"

Are you talking about the podcast from yesterday (Monday, March 12)? I went back and listened to it, but I could not make out what Gottlieb was saying (and then Gottlieb kept jokingly referring to Katz as a "hater" whenever Andy made a comment).

Isn't Ryan Burr Jim's kid? So I already disliked him just for his lineage. Now he's recruiting for the cuse too? Nail in the coffin for me.

I'm no expert, although I play one on TV, but most alums can be considered boosters regarding contact/providing benefits to recruits. Pat Summitt supposedly reported uconn to the NCAA for having fans at a game with signs imploring a recruit to attend UConn.

read this too quickly. i thought for just a moment that you wrote that he was high AT cuse. that would make a lot of sense, you know, given what we know now.

That is the podcast I was talking about. He seemed to hedge when Katz said they didn't hate anybody, and said something a couple of times...I thought it might have been "Burr."

Perhaps, though, I'm getting this confused with an old Milk commercial.

Interesting. I did not hear that, but I could see Gottlieb being snarky like that in the podcast.
