If you keep switching teams you'll always have a fresh batch of teammates to blame when you lose.

Shaq was right about this clown all along.

Dwight's done just about everything imaginable to demolish his reputation over the last two years, but I have no problem with him leaving LA for an undeniably better situation in Houston. He handled his free agency this summer about as maturely as anybody could have expected - he played his cards close to the vest, allowed all his potential suitors a chance to sway him one way or the other, flew across the country to tell his former team in person he wouldn't be re-signing there (something LeBron never did, and was rightfully criticized for), and then ultimately made the right basketball decision.

Thank God this idiot signed with someone so we can let it go for now

He's a selfish a**............unfortunately this is what the NBA is all about now for the most part!

Now I don' t have to listen to everybody on espn radio (which I don't have to listen to at all, I know) keep pronouncing Dwight like it's a 2 syllable word. It's not spelled Duhhhwight, people.

He may be a selfish immature drama queen in general but hes not selfish for signing with another team in FA. People have to realize that it is his life, so people telling him where to sign are the ones who are being selfish not saying you are being selfish but (general population.) I see selfish people all the time. It is funny to hear Shaq criticize Dwight (its well deserved) Its not like Shaq didnt quit teams and leave each team on bad terms.

That's fine but his actions throughout the last few years are all about Dwight and nothing about the team/s he played for...........he's just really lucky to be playing during a time of weak centers because quite honestly minus the fact he's unbelievably strong (steroids, huh?) he's really not all that great of a player, his skills are not very good at all.

I am not a big Howard fan but give him credit. He did not demand a sign and trade which would have hurt Houston. He got 88 m over 4 yeardsvs 118m over 5 years. He left 30m on the table. That's not greedy in my eyes. Most NBA players demand the sign and trade route. Houston got Howard and didn't give up anything.

Dwight handled the Orlando exit poorly, he didn't do anything wrong in this situation. Don't let Chris Broussard twist you into thinking Howard was indecisive and flip flopping, this was just a case of terrible reporting. Broussard should be fired, ESPN had to have Stephen A Smith put his vacation on pause and call into SC and provide the actual story just to clean up the mess Broussard had created.

This is the 2nd time today I've heard someone with the last name of Howard be called "Coward". Oddly enough, before today I'd never heard it happen.

I absolutely abhor that.

Not directly, they did move Royce White and his anxiety and Taylor to clear enough cap space to slot Dwight in. All in all a great pickup, especially if they can move Asik for a useful player or picks. I agree though that he handled this well overall. I didn't know before this just how classless and rude the Lakers fanbase is. It's the kid's life, he had the right to play and live wherever he likes without being labeled a , coward etc because he jumped off that sinking ship.

Yeah Broussard is terrible. He shouldve been fired after what he said about J.collins coming out. Never been a fan of his as he seems to try to stir the pot when theres nothing to be stirred. I think he is very angry as most redbones are.

The Lakers are approaching Celtics territory. Kobe will never be near the elite players again when he finally gets back, and the rest of the team is garbage. They were barely a playoff team this year. Why should Howard stay there again?

Like those dudes who just took less money to win back to back rings. Selfish s.

Those guys are horrible. Never been in any trouble but some some loser waiter from Cleveland said that one of them was a tough customer or something. They just must be totally horrible...

Emeka must be laughing his butt off, since he can still brag about his ROTY trophy.

DId Dwight Howard go on a pet-killing spree in Connecticut recently?

An NBA free agent opted to sign with a new team...why are you people acting like you've been personally wronged?

.-.
Dwight treated the Laker fans like Shiiite. Laker fans don't take rejection well.....

I actually could care less about Howard or the Lakers.......good for the Rockets!!!

Just don't like the man, his quotes and his story. Not Ao by any means LOL, but just another overrated, overpaid athlete who gets what he wants! He's not the only one for sure!

Dwight should make his actual decision sometime halfway through next season...

When you rely on Stephen A Smith to provide cleanup with actual reporting, you know your network is ducked.

Don't think they want to trade Asik.

Because they have a lot of cap room opening up in the next couple of years and its the lakers. They will bring in some big free agents that couldve been paired with howard. i think howard left because of mike d`antoni plane and simple. if d`antoni wasnt there i think howard stays.

Why? People rip Stephen A. for all the yelling but who's more plugged in? People were clowning him 2 months ago for putting it out there that Doc Rivers would end up with the Clips.

Mainly because he blows a lot of BS smoke in his editorializing. Not that the guy can't break a story (obviously shown he can), but he's just as much a hype/say-stuff-to-be-contradictory,outrageous-and-stir-as-much--up-as-possible as anyone at ESPN. Unless he's completely changed his stripes as of late.

Now if Mike Reiss (diff sport) wants to clear up a story or break one, then by all means, he's the guy.

It's actually a shame his reputation has turned to what it is. Dwight seems like he's probably just a bit immature. But I know he's extremely fan friendly, and one of the "good guys" in the NBA.
