Nope.

I buy directly online from Dorco, who is their supplier. It's even cheaper. 6 months of blades for $30 (the $1/week blades are the singles, I use the 4-blade ones).

It comes up on the board once per year. You can buy the blades online from the manufacturer for less. The only value of the shave club is auto delivery. The brand of blade is Dorco.

I'm there. Are the blades as good as Gillette's?

Maybe there's some mojo somewhere in the beards. One could hope.

I gave it a try on the recommendation of a friend. Overall, I like it. I only get the twin blades, in a five pack. I think it's $2 a month. Cancel anytime, very easy to skip a month if you want also.

Only downside (at least with the twin blades); The blades don't last very long. They work better than a disposable, but you only get a couple uses out of them before they get dull. Both disposables and expensive blades tend to last longer, but for the price I like them. I get a couple nice shaves (maybe 3 if Im lucky) then I pop in a new one, it's cheap and I never run out.

Also the handle and the way the blade attaches to the handle are kinda cheap. Still, it has worked fine for me. Same handle now for about 7 months (and the handle can be replaced for just a couple bucks).

I use them. Love it. I don't need a stash of 17000 blades in my house. Therefore I do not buy from the manufacturer. It's a freaking buck (really 2 or 3) a month. Some real tight wads here.

I switched to Harry's about a year ago. $15 for 8 blades delivered to your door (no tax, no delivery charge). Blades last twice as long as the Gillette Mach3.8 Turbo vibra-aqua wash pivot whatevers.

Happy with Dorco 4-blade via Amazon, which is what I came up with after the last shaving thread started with Harry's and I was seeing their online ads embedded eveywhere..

Maybe you should try saving by rubbing your razor backwards on your elbow about ten times. That sharpens up the razor and allows you shave with the same cartridge more than a year. I've been rocking the same cartridge for almost two years. screw the dollar shave club

Seriously....blades are 30 cents a piece.

And it's not nearly as scary as it looks.

YOU ARE SOOOOO OOOOOOLDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

The blades aren't as great as Gilette, but you just replace 'em more often.

I buy good blades and soak the razor in mineral oil when not in use. It keeps the blades clean and sharp. One pack of blades lasts several months.

I've been doing DSC for about 15 months. Started with the mid-tier ($6 per month, I think). They lasted probably a week each. I moved up to the premium blade ($9 per month), and I've been getting close to two weeks per blade. I think the budget blades are basically the quality of a really good disposable.

I had been getting just over a week out of my Gilette blades at roughly $5 per blade prior to that, so I'm sill saving at least $12 per month.

Disposable razor companies (Gillette, Schick, whathaveyou) recommend change blades once every 3-5 shaves, so you have to buy more blades and prop up their bottom line. It's purely a marketing tool. I use the old Gillette Sensor Xcel III and if you take care of your blades (Wash them out, let them dry between shaves) they will last months. I probably buy a set of 4 cartridges once a year and I shave my Italian face at least 5 times a week.

I buy disposal razors at Dollar Tree, 12 pack for $1 and they work great. Here's another tip for saving money. Don't be too manly for pink shavers and pink women's shaving gel if they're cheaper, which they usually are. Sure the razors and gel are pink, but who's watching you shave and it's worth it to save a buck.
