Cr@p. I hope not a re-run of last Oct.
My town has had a tornado, microburst, and the October storm last year that closed school for five days.

A student asked about "Sandy", and they all seemed genuinely concerned, so I stopped my lesson to discuss their fears.

Most hands went up. I called on the first student.

"Are we going to miss Halloween again?" All the other hands went down. I am glad to see they still worry about the important things.

What grade is that?

I have been looking at the models now that we are about 5 days out. There are 5 decent models. The median model has this hitting New Haven and turning due north. However, the models that track this more to the east are slightly more accurate, on average. I am guessing the storm will make landfall somewhere around RI or Cape Cod.

In that case, you can tell them Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny probably arent going to make it through this one.

I imagine the Tooth Fairy won't make it either

Great choice for tailgating. Those Honda's are bullet proof and very quiet. The commercials for them at tailgates are funny too.
