Thanks to everyone with their suggestions. I'm sure I'll do a combination of all of them. Point of clairification. UMass was just the first school, other than UConn that he wanted to visit. Mainly becuase a friend of his already had a visist scheduled and he was going to go up with him. He also mentioned Penn State, Maryland & Delaware. Ultimately, I don't think he will want to be too far from home, at least those other schools are within a reasonable driving distance. Otherwise, I would suggest a few others for him. He wants a larger school, that may start with "The University of"

I very easily got straight A's at Temple whereas Uconn was much more challenging academically

I think this is important. Go to a college where you feel like you are going to be challenged and it doesn't have to be UConn.
