And he led Cuse to their only National Title to date.

And thank God, for him, that he did. It's the only thing keeping him from being labeled the biggest loser in major American sports (among superstars).

That said, he and the Knicks looked a lot better in Game 2. If they can get past Indiana and take Miami to a competitive 6 or 7 games, that will do a lot to restore Melo's reputation.

So by your logic, that title belonged to LeBron until last year?

I didn't say that a championship, period, is required for a superstar to not be considered a loser. I just meant that in Carmelo's case, he had an NCAA ring to buoy his reputation amid the worst playoff record in NBA history. He also doesn't exactly pass the eye test in terms of "does this guy have the basketball leadership qualities necessary to get his team to win on the biggest stage".

To be specific about LeBron, while he had his share of loserly moments in the playoffs, he also carried the Cavs much farther than they should have gone several times.

Chris Paul is rightfully incurring criticism for the Clippers underachievement. He wasn't really expected to do much with New Orleans anyway. He at least made it out of the first round twice before this year.

Vince will get in as well, they arent picky when it comes to the basketball HOF, the Pro Football HOF and Baseball HOF is whole different story, Hockey HOF would follow along the same lines as the Basketball HOF.

They would have to be pretty lenient to let Vince Carter in.......when I think of Vince Carter I don't think of HOF material, just a special athlete with a nice gam....there are plenty of Vince Carter's out there.....but then again it's the NBA......

When Felton attacks the rim it opens the floor for everyone. I don't think he's a poor finisher at all, he's a pretty good at getting a contested layup.

I feel like Felton misses 2-3 layups per game and takes quite a few attempts in there that are ill-advised. You can usually see it coming a mile away too.
