Does he remind anyone else of Jamarcus Russell? Bazooka of an arm, Big guy, potential nightmare to defend in college but not really a fit for the NFL game that relies so much on reading defenses, pre snap reads, touch and accuracy?
 
I think your early impression is accurate, but concerning whether he can read defenses it's a little premature to make that conclusion.
 
I just mean to date it looks like he is getting by solely on amazing arm strength. Those guys rarely show touch on the underneath stuff, checking down etc.

He is THAT Cardale Jones, the guy that complained about having to go to school because he was only there for football.

It's a joke that he had to tell the media he's "not ready for the NFL yet". NO really?

I mean he's a nice college player as of right now but he's a dime a dozen qb, too many like him have faded into oblivion so work on your game at OSU to refine. Ability and potential let's see how it plays out.

Yep. His star will likely not burn any brighter. He could be coming back to third string status again.
