I'll start with 2 very different ones. First, Marty Robins: "When you call me Shorty say Mister, my friend / Or maybe you'd rather be dead."

"It's your father's fault that the curse got placed
And the place got cursed in the first place"

Pretty relevant to what's on the news these days, a song from the perspective of AI
"Perfect programmed disaster.
You're my maker, but you're not my master."

The Police and Bono — Invisible Sun

“I face the day with my head caved in
Looking like something that the cat brought in”

He's sure got a lotta gall
to be so useless and all.

Always makes me think of my stepson.

"Yeah, I`m a loser at the top of my game" (at 1:17)

Mudcrutch is a Tom Petty-related band and they did the song "Scare Easy", which is definitely worth a listen if you have not heard it before. Written by Tom, and lots of great lyrics like the one quoted above.

Another one to begin the song: "My love`s an ocean, you better not cross it".

Two from Me & Bobby McGee by Janis Joplin:
“Freedom’s just another word for nothing left to lose”
“I’d trade all of my tomorrows for one single yesterday”

And one more from Institutionalized by the Suicidal Tendencies:
“All I wanted was a Pepsi, and she wouldn’t give it to me”
