I'm getting married in a month and am struggling to come up with a gift for my two best men. I'd like to get them something that they'll actually use and enjoy and not something that will collect dust. They already have the typical things like personalized flasks, beer mugs, etc. I'm willing to spend a little bit of money (let's say $100-200 per dude). Thoughts?

Knife, shaving set, cigar box + cigars, personalized UConn jerseys, something based on a common shared activity/hobby.

Congrats man!

Congratulations!!!!

I had 4 groomsmen and when I got married in 2009, I was basically the last one of my friends to take the plunge, but I picked up some decent ideas. I got each guy something different, because they are all different individuals, but at the very least everything was monogramed.

One idea I didn't think of until I started looking was a personalized or monogramed chair cooler.

My best man says he uses it all the time.

Go to personalizationmall.com and browse around. I have no doubt you'll find something.

A golf club, Johnny Walker Blue, a low-end prostitute, one of those Google tablets, dinner for two so they can take their significant other to a good steakhouse, solid tickets to a UConn hoop game if they're UConn fans, crappy tickets to a UConn hoop game if they're not...

You can at least get a NASDAQ escort for 2 bills. When I hear low-end, I think Pink Sheet street walker.

I've been a best man 4 times and the best gift I ever got was a pair of oakleys. I've also received a couple flasks, one had a cigar holder built into it. Another awesome gift was a big plaque that hangs in my man cave... there are various options but mine says: SLACK's Tenth Inning Pub.. friends and drinks a plenty. (or something along those lines). I've also received a personalized NY Giants hat, giants dress socks and a shaving kit.

For best men, I would say you want something specific to each man. I got all of my groomsmen the same gifts, except I added on something extra for my best man:

He's a UNC fan, so needless to say he loved it. And it was only $10, so you don't have to break the bank to get them something they'll love.

I was a best man once -- got a fairly nice watch, probably in the price range that you're talking about.

i paid for my groomsmens suits...figured they could wear it again. Came to about 180 each

A low end prostitute? Don't you think that if the groomsmen were St. Johns wannabees the OP would have mentioned that?

I've received a leather travel shaving kit (dopp bag?); engraved pewter mug; flask. I could never figure out where to bring the flask as it is wider than a pint bottle.

Gave my groomsmen Tivos. The best men (I had two as well) got higher capacity models. But that was back in '07 when there weren't so many DVR's around. Tech treats are tougher these days. Maybe iPad minis? Another way to go is a shared experience. There's a philosophy of gifting and spending that says that experiences are remembered and appreciated far more than things. So, maybe tickets to a concert, game, show that you can attend with them after?

Monogramed of course.

A good friend got the wedding party monogrammed LL Bean duffle bags. 20 years later the bag is still going strong and I've used it countless times.

Another friend bought everyone the same tie. It was a sweet tie that we all wore at the wedding and we kept. Also used it many many times since

$ 100 gift cards to Hooters. That's at least two trips for NFL playoff games or NCAA tourney games. Plus the waitresses.

I got my groomsmen Louisville Slugger bats with their name engraved on it... Should have got one for myself!
Did that for the ring barers.
