Nothing comes close to the new Bobby V’s in Stamford. Second I would say Hanging Hills.

There are a ton of good bars in Stamford that are all fun to go to! Hudsons, Brickhouse, Bar BQ, etc.

I'm not too good with all the names lol, but I always have a good time when I go out in Stamford.

Haven't been up in years, but I used to really like going to Sliders for wings/pitchers. Primarily in Plainville, but been to the others as well and always enjoyed them. Assuming if their wings are like other places, the prices have probably been jacked up quite a bit though.

Maybe I'm just too nostalgic for the old one but they cut about 3/4s of the old menu, some of the old good options are gone. There are way too many TVs with different sports going on to concentrate. Took about half an hour for the waitress to come around. I do like the draft list. The virtual golf in the corner is nice. the place just feels like buffalo wild wings though. There's no more charm to the place. Although that seems to be the overall theme of Stamford replacing everything with luxury apartment complexes .

Best dive bars must include The Bach Dor in Chaplin. Used to go every Thursday for nickel night. Anything in the place for five cents. We would get our load on and then dance with the biker "babes". Honorable mention to the Spigot in WH.

Oh snap. My drinking buds and I had few standards when we were up in Storrs in the 70s, but Rapp's was beneath even that low bar.

Our jam was often Italian Village in Willi. I recall a $2.50 pitcher would net 9 glasses, but if you ordered 10 glasses individually for $0.25 each, it was the better deal, although it p.o.'d the servers.

Haven't been in CT for a couple years, but when I was there prepping my late brother's house for sale, the commuter bars in Springdale and Glenbook were good for meeting other drunks. Tracks was always good for buybacks. Vinny's Backyard was a good backup albeit a few too many guidos.

I agree with a lot of what your saying. I loved the old one too. The new one is set up perfectly with the upstairs when sports betting inevitably is legalized.
