Alot of those drums, especially food grade, are plastic lined now. Be careful.


True. Be sure to get one that is unlined. Call first and ask whoever is selling them and they will tell you if they are appropriate for making a smoker. Also be sure to get one that is "open head". You need a special tool to open a "closed head" drum and you won't be happy. You can buy them reconditioned but ive always bought a new drum. The place i get them is in Las Vegas and they are about $60
