OT: Army v. Navy

I think they will be pissed at Fenway. That int at midfield was a killer. If the Army player just fell on the Navy fumble instead of trying to scoop it, there might have been a different outcome...

Welp, in two weeks us fans, and more crucially the UConn players will find out if you're correct.

Army choked. Fall on the damn ball instead of being a hero and the Cadets win. Also, that raggedy Interception was God awful. We beat Air Force, Army is better and who knows who plays in this Bowl game for us. Nick is gonna have a chance to skamper.

Got a pretty good look at the Army formations and offense. I did not see anyone today that was the equal of UConn's RB's. The question will be the bigs who do the blocking and how well they have been able to heal. Nick may take a series or two to settle down, but once he does, given his running abilities too, I think the offense will be fine. The D will also depend on how well healed the guys up front are. One sensed that by the end of the season they were kinda beat up. Gotta think that UConn's balanced attack will be enough to counter any residual shortcomings on D.

As a navy veteran I am very happy with the outcome of this game!
Ditto

Had an active duty Navy friend put on FB after the game that it was time to celebrate and drink to the foam. I responded we would have also drank to the foam if Navy lost.

Until we meet once more, here's wishing you a happy voyage home!!

Not sure if they would have won, but definitely fall on the ball, go 3 and out, burn clock and Navy timeouts, and punt for better field position. The way Navy was moving the ball and the way Army was not, could have resulted in the same outcome, but maybe Amy hangs on.

Last one for this year's thread

With Joey and Skylar saying, "Nahhh.", UConn is in for a long battle.
And then some, along with a lighter fan base attending. No longer an amateur sport we have followed for decades.
The money now comes in the front door rather than the back in the past. That and now the players sit out and keep their money! I'm OK with the money but would not pay it out until the last game is played!
Total bullspit what Joey and Bell are doing to the team, the school and the fan base. So much for teammates, comrade, brother hood.
They have the chance to help the linemen on both sides of the ball, and the team become the first ever UConn team to win 10 games in a season. Sorry boys it's all about me. OK I'll call you men but it's still all about me attitude!
A total disgrace of what the game has become.
Canceled out three sideline bowl tickets and along with friends considering weather to renew six seats that require donations next year at The Rent.
A sad day for some die hard UConn fans.....

You saw the formula to beat 2025 Army on Saturday:

Withstand the best Army's O can give you until you figure out how to stop it.

Once your defense figures it out, Army has nothing else in the offensive bag of tricks.

4-5 in one score games this season.
