She showed up to his hs and took his LOI and left because she doesnt want him to leave the state of fl to go to Ark.

You would think that would have been settled before today, but after seeing what goes on down yonder, nothing is surprising.

She must have received a Fedex envelope at 7AM filled with cash. In Florida that's legal.

The image of a mom running away with LOI, people chasing her just cracks me up.

He's 18 and doesn't need her signature. He'll get another letter and sign away. No wonder he wants to leave Florida. I think I read he lives with his high school coach. Explains a lot.

If he's under 21, he needs a parent or guardian to sign the letter.

which would be his hs coach. the point is he doesn't need his mom so what she did was trying to ragain control over him. to bad b*tch, your son is a man now and he earned himself a full ride thru hard work on the field. i hope he makes millions in the nfl and gives u nutin

It's more likely the other way around as it is the coach that is the beneficiary in this deal. Either way, it just serves as another example of how crazy this whole recruiting thing is. Crazy paents, greedy coaches, scumbags everywhere and kids that don't have a clue as to how to deal with it all. There was also a kid who was going to West Virginia that ended up with Pitt because his mother also wouldn't sign the LOI. She just didn't pull the whole "crazy ass, steal the papers and run away" deal that Collins mom did.

.-.
Another ridiculous rule. A kid is old enough to get his head blown off serving his country but he can't sign an LOI deciding what University to attend?

Law firm sent a release saying its been hired by mom of RB Alex Collins to rep family’s interests while she contemplates signing NCAA’s NLI.

Mom retained the Cochran law Firm (yup - that one).

I was just told by a source close to RB Alex Collins that his dad will be signing his national letter of intent to #Arkansas
