Mars rover Curiosity lands on the Red Planet

I had thought the robot was small but it's the size of a car! This is an awesome bit of engineering by Team USA.

I thought it was interesting that when they showed all the people in command central (or whatever they call it) none of them were in short sleeve white shirts and ties. Times have changed.

I happened to be checking the news when this occured....it was just fantastic to see the reaction of all the folks in the building.
Looked like UConn had won the champiopnship game....loud and proud.
