just saw one of the craziest stats ever. Lebron is 5-47 on game tying/ go ahead shots in the final five seconds of the 4th quarter or OT in the last 10 years. That's 10.6%.

He has a reputation for choking. But 5-47? That's insane.

He's 5-47. What does that have to do with making the NBA finals?

Also he wouldn't be 2-4 if he could make some of those shots

These were last playoffs:

LeBron James has taken 10 go-ahead shots in final 5 sec. of 4Q or OT in playoffs. He's made 6. Michael Jordan was 5-of-11 in his career.

And let's just put this in the context of Kobe, although this expands it to 24 seconds:

LeBron now has more postseason go-ahead/game-tying FGM in final 24 sec of Q4/OT than Kobe (8 to 7). And much more efficient (19 FGA vs 28).

Everyone knows he's taking the shot, so it's 1 on 5. You shouldn't expect a high percentage, unless he's on a championship-caliber team surrounded by talented shooters.

.-.
It's kind of a silly stat, given how clutch LeBron's been in his career. In addition to the stuff above, this excellent post on /r/NBA is illustrative:

That said, if there's one guy taking a game-winning buzzer beater, it's not the Husky you think it is:

If the data was compiled before yesterday, it's outdated.
