OT: 2017-2018 NBA Season Thread

On a positive note, D Ham is with the Thunder tonight and playing garbage minutes. Playing well.

Edit: 7 pts 4 assists in 5 minutes.

4 assists in 5 min is a nice ratio. hopefully he gets an extended look next game.

Kemba had 41 point tonight in a loss to the Mavs . Hope he can someway get to a contender sooner or later.

Andre had 22-20-5 in 3 quarters while they destroyed the Nets.

Kemba was spectacular. Wish I had chosen to go to that Nets game. Tickets were $8 or something like that. Would have been fun!

Hopefully the Hornets sucking doesn't penalize Kemba from making the all-star game.

I'm a Hornets fan and I'm so over this team right now. Even though Kemba missed a shot to tie at the end he was great. Too much Kemba though. Nobody played much defense and Batum was useless on both ends of the court. Sad.

The feeling is that only one player will go from the Hornets and that will be D12.

They really need to sell Batum before the deadline, what a horrible contract. Jeremy Lamb has done more in every aspect this season.

True but he's not a hot commodity. Pop loves euros and Nic might fit in better with the Spurs but few teams are interested in a passive Frenchman who has some skills but is very soft.

Me, January 11, 2016:

"I also thought the Bulls should take Beasley over Rose.

Let it be known I'm a man who can admit his mistakes."

OT- Curry

I retract my admission.

It only took 9 years, but Michael Beasley IS better! Dude is on fire!

Memory of an elephant. Can't remember what I wrote last week.

I was really firm in my belief that Beasley was going to be a great player. He was so unstoppable at KSU. And then he stunk. And for years I've pointed to my terrible call of him over Rose as my biggest scouting mistake. All of a sudden he's putting up serious numbers.

So what you're saying is you're a goshdarn nostradamus.

Would be the perfect replacement for Parker – such similar players.

Honestly though I'm hoping that Kemba & Jeremy both somehow wind up on Detroit.
Lamb, Kemba, Bradley is a pretty miserable night for opposing backcourts defensively

21/15/4, 3 blocks & 2 steals on 8/13 FG & 5/6 FT from Andre in a 107-105 loss at Chicago. Dunn 18/8/8, 3 blocks & 3 steals, 2 TOs on 7/13 1/5 3/4 shooting splits. I love seeing Connecticut kids playing like all-stars.

Andre has been utterly amazing this year. His total rebound rate is 26.0, which is the 5th-highest of all-time (Rodman x3 and Reggie Evans are the others who've hit 26.0 or better), he's tripled his previous assist percentage, his true shooting % is up to 57%, his PER is a career-best 23.1, and he leads the league in both defensive win shares and defensive box +/-.

He passes the eye test and he passes the analytics test. His contract was regarded as one of the worst in the league, but now it's clearly one of the best.

Painful

Just my luck, the Celtics decided to start playing like UConn.

They are playing like hot garbage.

I can't buy a freaking win.

Officiating in Hornets vs 76ers was absolutely pathetic. Sixers got every call, one of the worst ones i’ve seen this season. Embiid gets every whistle
