chuckled at this one
I agree.A fairer whistle and we probably beat Michigan and their behemoth front court.
Not to excited about this player. Reminds me of a bigger version of Tyler O. Not sure why were are so excited about this visit.
Wow, after everything Hurley and the staff have built here, we’re really second guessing who they bring in now? I guess we should have aimed higher on Malachi and Millender.🙄Can we aim a little higher? We've made 3 final fours in 4 years, and this is who we are looking at?
A couple of teams win with big front courts and all of a sudden you have to have a big front court to win.
Florida had a big front court but without their 3 guards (especially Clutch Clayton) they don’t sniff the championship. And we came within 2 points with a point guard playing on one leg and our worst team of the past 4 years.
A fairer whistle and we probably beat Michigan and their behemoth front court.
I like our chances against anyone with Dan Hurley and our style.
I didn’t say big- I said size & length at the positions- especially at the guard positions- with the focus on the 2024 team.Don’t see a comparison of UConn 23 and 24 with Florida and Michigan big lineups. Outside of Clingan in 24 we had Karaban and 3 good sized guards. In 23 we had Sanogo (who was 5-6 inches shorter than Mara and Condon), Karaban, and 3 good sized guards.
Shorter physical height, but taller when you factor in his vert and block timing/instinctThis is a good move in my opinion. A Reibe replacement. He is exactly where Eric was as a freshman and becoming a sophmore exception a couple of inches shorter. That's why we have a GM. Getting same production at a cheaper price.
A decent center is 1.5 million if not more.Young big body with good advanced defensive and rebounding metrics. Would make for a good backup center for sure. But I’d prefer him to back up a dominant C1 like a Tarris or a Clingan or a Sanogo. Don’t love a Hines/Giltay C rotation for a team with championship aspirations, at least not in year 1
Assuming there would be more portal additions to be made? Or is the C market just absolutely insane right now?
Yeah I hope he is just someone they will be using for depth piece and will bringing in someone like Chol.Young big body with good advanced defensive and rebounding metrics. I think the discount bin is in Europe.A decent center is 1.5 million if not more.
Freshman 5’s tend to do that.He may play about 15 to 17 minutes per game unless Hines cleans up his propensity to foul. Hines' foul rate is quite high - top 5 in the Big East. He had 4 in 19 minutes vs us.
Huh? Boone started here from day 1, first year as the 4 next to Okafor.I guess the value of a Stanford diploma isn't the same among Belgians as it is here.
Anyway, in thinking of past backup centers who played key roles on NC teams, I'm thinking Josh Boone. So the main question for me is: how big is Giltay's ass?
Was going to be our first Lith. LoL.Payback to the Cardinal for stealing for Lukas Kisunas!
How things have changed. Boone at the 4??? Could you see that today?? Did Boone take a jump shot in his time here?Huh? Boone started here from day 1, first year as the 4 next to Okafor.
Shooting from the hip. Just guessing. Remember the name Christian Bliss-DelawareZen Man
Waddya got? Don’t leave us hanging!
The answer to the jump shot problem is no, he never took a jump shot. How things have changed. Boone at the 4??? Could you see that today?? Did Boone take a jump shot in his time here?
Every few days it hits me how strong a chance we had to go 4 in a row. Can you imagine how confident we would have been after beating Florida. Hope no one reminds me for another few weeks.A couple of teams win with big front courts and all of a sudden you have to have a big front court to win.

After that wasted time figuring out the proper pronunciation of "Reibe," he is "Guilty" until he signs.Did not expect his recruitment to be guilt-free. What a twist!
- Last name pronounced “Heel-tay”.
